Hi. So recently I have been trying to better my relationship with God, but I’ve been seeing a lot of videos about God comibg soon and the world ending and stuff. It’s been really making me scared the thought of the workd ending and my future going to uni and havung a family is gone. I know I should be happy the day Jesus arrives but I can’t help but worry about my future and my family because none of them are truly religious and I worry anout them going to Heaven. Then I start to worry about if I can even get into Heaven because I’m not the perfect Christian nor am I baptized because I don’t think my parents will let me. It makes me scared and anxious which is what I’m not supposed to be. Please if you can, I need advice to help. And go easy on me, I’m just new at this.

- a very anxious teenage girl.

This is what Jesus says.

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14:6 NKJV
"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned."
John 3:16-18 NKJV

"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."
John 14:21-24

“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Luke 5:31-32 NKJV

There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”
Luke 13:1-5 NKJV

So, what's the bottom line? There is but one way to heaven and that is through faith and trust in Jesus, the Christ. Believe and trust in Jesus and Him alone for your salvation. In so doing, live a life worthy of that salvation. This is demonstrated by living our life showing our love for Him. Jesus calls us to repent of our sins. Repent means more than just feeling sorry but also means that we turn away from our sins and strive to be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). Will we succeed at perfection? Not likely, for we have a sinful nature and we will make mistakes, but that is why Jesus lovingly sacrificed Himself for us. He is our redeemer and our mediator and "He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 NKJV)

Believe, trust, and follow Him!

To God be the glory!

It's a good thing to have the fear of the Lord.

In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence, And His children will have a place of refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.
Proverbs 14:26-27

However anxiety is not the fear of the Lord.

God loves you very much... much more than you or I can even comprehend.

He is drawing you by His Spirit into a closer relationship in this season. He desires for you to be close to Him and learn from Him, and He will lead you to talk to your family about salvation.

Draw near to Him, and talk to Him. He loves you.

Do you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins?

Do you believe God raised Him from the dead on the third day?

Do you confess Jesus as LORD?

If you answered yes to those three question then you are certainly on the right path.

Blessings to you.

May I offer you some basic practical advice.
1/ Stop watching YouTube about the 2nd coming, instead watch YouTube videos that will help you grow as a christian, fore ample find and watch the coldcasechristianity videos.
They are about Christianity and how reasonable a faith it is.
2/ Check out the church Web sites in your area for one with a youth group your age and talk to your parents about attending that church.
3/ if you are not already doing so read your bible every day and spend some time praying about what you've read and issues in your life.
There are bible reading notes that you can get that explain, comment on what you are reading
4/encourage your parents to also attend church so you can go as a family.

Hi milavan1229

Well, if you want to follow after Jesus, then you should, if you have believed on him for your salvation, be baptized. It is a commandment. But don't do it if you're just lukewarm about wanting to get to know God.

God bless,
Ted

Hey All,
Milavan1229, God understands your situation. If you are over 18, your parents have no legal say. But if you are a minor, they need to know. Do you know for sure that they are against you being baptized? Or is this you projecting your fears upon them? Would they physically abuse you for your beliefs? Would they disown you?
Baring physical abuse, I would encourage you to tell your parents. You could start by saying, "Mom, Dad, I have something wonderful to tell you . . . " And you tell your account. They might surprise you. They will still love you. Show them respect, and ask for their permission (if you are under 18). The truth is you don't know what they will say.
But understand this:
1. You are saved.
2. God loves you no matter what.
3. His mercy and grace still apply to your life.
4. If you are a minor, and your parents say no, honor their wishes. This is one of the 10 commandments.
5. Don't allow fear to rule your life.
Pray and ask God to guide you. You will know when the time is right to tell your parents. I hope this helps. Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,
Taz

Hi Milava and welcome to our Christian family here on CFnet.

You've been given some excellent advice and I'm so hhappy and proud to be part of a forum with members that portray the love Jesus has for us.

Please be at peace. Every generation believed it was the end! Fill your life with positive messages.

Jesus did not come to sow fear and anxiety, but love and joy.

As to baptism, you are already baptized by desire, eventually you'll be water baptized as Jesus instructed.

He also said to honor your parents, which you are doing, so all is good.

Praise God that you know Him.

Thank you so much for this sweet advice. I’m really young, and watching all of these videos are really scaring me. Just thinking about the world ending is making me really question my life snd my dreams snd accomplishments. I’ve been trying to get a relationship with God recently snd I think uts going good. I have an app on my phone where I do daily worships and I even resd a few pages of the Bible and pray every night and whenever I need it. As for baptism, I think I’ll get the courage to ask if me snd my sister can be baptized. I’ve just been really worried these past few days.

You don't need to be baptized. Acts chapter 3 , repent sins to God and be forgiven, and conform to God's standard.
Thiers many false preachers running around, documentation, Jeremiah chapter 23.
I would be extra careful about who you study with.
Pastor Dennis murray of shepherds chapel, he teaches sound doctrine. He's on YouTube.
If you care to check him out. I studied under shepherds chapel for 23 years.
Revelation chapter 13. .is one world political system. Near future, this political system will receive deadly wound. At the 6th trump, satan as antichrist will heal deadly wound. By establishing world peace. It's 5 month period.
Ephesians chapter 6. . The gospel armour is knowledge and wisdom of God's word. You need gospel armour on to get past antichrist lies and deception near future. Those who are biblically illiterate will worship antichrist and end up in sheol.
What is sheol??. Its holding place for the spirtualty dead.
Its your decision what you do.

I’m really young, and watching all of these videos are really scaring me. Just thinking about the world ending is making me really question my life snd my dreams snd accomplishments.
Let Jesus help you here. Consider Matthew, chapter 6, starting at verse 25 and read to the end of the chapter. Here's what He says.

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."
Matthew 24:36-44 NKJV

What Jesus is saying is that we must always guard our hearts and our minds and to follow Him, living our lives according to His commands because we never know when our last moment is going to be. My life could end before I take my next breath or it may not.

Do you worry every time you get into an automobile that you may crash? Do you worry every time you ride your bicycle that you may crash? Do you worry that you might trip and fall and get hurt just walking? Jesus says not to worry.

"I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Always remember that Jesus is always with you, no matter what happens. That is a promise.
"Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 NKJV

"Where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20 NKJV

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."
John 14:15-18 NKJV

It’s just a little tough knowing that I might not be able to grow old or go to university and it makes me feel unmotivated to do things. I’ve been really struggling with this.

Hi Milavan,
People that are always focused on the end are not living their life to the fullest.

Young persons are the world of tomorrow. You should live your life well, do your best to accomplish your dreams and accomplishments, and don't worry about the end of the world. Stop watching those videos since NO ONE knows when the end will come, but we certainly don't have the signs right now. It is, however, a great way to get money coming in from those that feel fear. And they can sound so convincing too!

When I was in my early 20's I had my first baby. He was a few months old and I was walking with him in his carriage where I live in Queens, NY. A woman stopped me and said she'd never have a baby "in these days".
Well, guess what? My son is a grown man now with his own family....and just the other day a young married girl told me she'd never have a baby because of the times we're living in.

So, you see, it never changes. Each generation has been the same.
Read the story of The Prodigal Son in Luke 15 or 16.
Read Philippians 4:8-9, one of my favorite passages.
Read about the love Jesus has for us in the gospel of John, His youngest Apostle.

Let us know if and when you get baptized. It'll happen sooner or later.
But Jesus loves you right now.

The uncertainty has been something I’m struggling with. The thought that I don’t know how long I have with my parents or fanily and the thiught about having a family might not gapoen or growing old or falling in love is something hard to grapple with. I realky need help wuth this. I know its selfish to want these things because I need to tryst in God, but I just feel really scared.

It’s just a little tough knowing that I might not be able to grow old or go to university and it makes me feel unmotivated to do things. I’ve been really struggling with this.
But that's my point. We never know. The end times videos you're seeing aside, there are thousands of ways for us to not see tomorrow or even this evening. It's part of life.

Aside from seeking Jesus, my first advice is to avoid those doom and gloom videos. There is no way for anyone and I mean anyone to predict what will happen tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, next decade, next century, or whatever. I can't begin to count how many times the end of the world has been predicted and not come to pass.

My second advice is to seek help in dealing with your depression.

Hey All,
Hi milavan1229. I have a simple solution for the videos. Stop watching them.
When I was a young Christian in 1970s, some pastors/teachers were proclaiming the end of the world by 2000-2007 depending upon how they calculated the time. Well guess what? We are still here. I learned that this what's called Christian Sensationalism. And they do it to scare people into buying their books, and then tapes in the 1980s. All of them, every single one, was wrong. Nobody knows!
Don't be afraid of these people milavan1229. Don't be afraid to plan out your life. Live your life as though Jesus were coming back tomorrow. Plan your life as if He is not. Go to school. Learn a profession at which you want to work. Get married and have kids If that's your choice. Watch them grow, mature, and have children of their own. Then, when you are old and gray, you can look back and be thankful you didn't just sit around waiting for me rapture. If you do that, you will have lived afull life. This honors God. Everything will work out to God's glory. And that's a pretty cool thing. I hope this helps. Keep walking everybody. May God bless,
Taz
