I have.

Generally what it does is try to trace the baptists (i've also seen SDA's and Church of Christ use it) through the ages. To do it, they take every heretical group and say don't believe what the Catholics say, these guys were baptists. The Paulicians whom they claim were baptists for instance, believed in a good and evil god and rejected most of the Old Testament. Donatists denied Christ's humanity. According to the theory they were baptists as well. It's of the quality of the Davinci Code and Hislop's sloppy work "Tale of Two Babylons".
