I read all 40 books of the left behind series and it has influenced me a lot and made me think more about God and the future. I thought it was a great book and I recommend it to teen readers (because it is a teen series).

So what are your opinions or thoughts about the Left Behind series??

P.S. I put this topic in the teen section because it is a teen series...

WOW.....nobody is replying eh...guessing that means no one has read it before....well, anyways go to your nearest bookstore and go buy them. They are like what....$5.99 each book i think...Seriously, read this series....it talks a lot about rapture and the eight years of tribulation after...it's a great inspiring book.

anyways that is all i want to say and may God bless y'all!! :-D ,

I HAVE! I HAVE! I loved them :D I just wish they were still coming :p

I didn't read the teens version - I read the adult. And it was awesome, too. My favorite books EVER, basically. And they lasted a long time too! I wanna read 'The Rising' soon.

A friend got me to read the first few of these and I can't get over how much I disliked them. They abound in fanaticism, and I really can't imagine getting anything personal out of them. The characters tend to be either static, or have one big sudden change. Subtlety is noticeably absent. As for the literary style-- it is painfully apparent that the authors were educated as theologians, not as fiction authors.

I have read every Left Behind book including the kids series. The only one I haven't read is the Rising. Their awesome!

Well, if you read the kids version, you may be right. I haven't read them, but everyone I've met who read them hated them too. If you're talking about the adult, I will be forced to bite you with the power of the fuzzyweasel. =D

I read the kids series. I started them in like the sixth grade when they first came out. Then when I got older I wanted to move to the adult series but I decided to stick with the kids version. I loved reading them. I always did book reports on them and it was a blast. The movie was was awesome too.

I've read 3 out of what 12 now? in the adult series..does that count? lol

I've read all the books but the very last one and that is because my parents seem to think that the books are too graphic and is causing anxiety...or something like that. Anywho..I love them. I am 18 now, but I started them when I was 14 and I even got to meet the authors at a book signing once. Now that I am 18, I am going to find the last book and read it soon, hopefully. I also read all the way to, like, book 25 of the kids series, but my library doesn't carry past there and I dont feel like buying them!

Forty!?!?!? I bet Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Isn't The Rising about zombies? I've been trying to find it, but we don't really have many non-mainstream books in Australia. I think I'll have to get it from Amazon.com or something.

If you're thinking "The Rising? About zombies? What on earth is he talking about?" Click here.

Assuming that your being serious, The Rising, is a prequel novel that deals with the life of Carpatha in his rise to power. Couple of people I know have read it and think that it fluxuates to much in style to really be thought of as a good read.

BTW, I have read the book that you linked to. IMO, it is the second best zombie novel I've ever read. the best is his sequel, City of the Dead.

i have just started the adult series and am almost finished with the first book.!!!

I've read the kid's series, I liked them a lot but never got to finish it. I should pick it back up again, but I'm afraid it's been too long and I might forget everything. :p
They're very good though, I enjoy them a lot. :)

I read alot of the adult series (last one read was The Remnant) and I thought they were very good, and I enjoyed them all.

i just finished the first one and can't wait to finish the next. the titles of the books make sence now, tribulation force, nicolae. i was expecting to stongal to be the anti-christ before he pulled out the gun i thought he made them change seats because he was stepping down. but i am hooked now and i can't wait to get the tribulation force.

hey, I want to read them. but I haven't yet. I have heard they are really good. ttyl.
