Anyone who watches soap operas? They showcase the consquences of sin

Assuming many of us who grew up on day time soap operas.

Fictional dramatized daily lives. Despite being dramatized they showcase how Sin and Fleshly desires can have "everyday" negative consquences.

Seeds of sin, pride, temptation, envy, jealousy, gossip, abuse, manipulation. Secrets being exposed.

The writers/producers may or may not do it intentionally but they show the consquenced of sin and how righetous Gods Instructions (Bible) are to follow.

I don’t quite understand all of your penultimate sentence, but I think I get your overall gist.

I have watched many what might be called Soaps. Sherlock Holmes said that German was a good language for swearing. That did not mean that all German language was swearing. Similarly, Soaps can be and some are, unclean, while some are not (eg When Calls the Heart). The better Soaps will rebuke such evils as you list. Trouble is, if folk get emotionally attached to characters, and the Soap goes grubby, it’s tempting to ride the rapids and go down the waterfall of vice. One such for me was Heartbeat, when PC Rowan swanned off for a fornication weekend soon after his wife had died: I wouldn’t see him again in his shame after that weekend, but I was tempted to use a little German over the producer who spoilt such an enjoyable Soap.

What sort of morality? Whose interests are reflected in a given production?
