Apple- is it a cult or just a product?

It's kinda both. I love using the Apple I-pods because of there large viraty of compatable music and video formats, and because of there relitivly large storage compacitys. How-ever, my home is a mix of brands. Currently, my laptop is an Acer, my desktop is a Compaq, my modem is a Moterolla, and my wireless router is a Balkin.

But some people only use Apple products. Everything either has to be apple, or it's appertly lacking in tecnology and desirability. Of corse, other brands have these kinds of fans, so I guess it depends on what termonogly the term "cult," is being used, and weather a person fill their house with one brand name of eletronics, or is willing to have a wide viraty of brand names in their house.

It's definitely BOTH. They are good products and Operating systems --- darn good. But then you pay the price for it. This makes it a cult category with the young people since the majority of them have apple products and the Mac OS computers. Think name-brand jeans, best of clothes, highest priced sneakers --- same with computers. It makes a statement.

Us po folk use the same things, but without the cost, it's called Linux! :lol

Considering how some are reacting to Steve Job's death...........yes it does have some evidence of being a cult.

Apple is clearly a product with an extremely effective marketing (and expensive) campagin. all the features you find in their products are almost ubiquitously found in other products they just market it well pretending it's a "new feature" no apple... Copy and paste has been around since 1996
