Archie to be shot saving gay friend

They were alot more wholesome than the garbage that is on television now.
I know that, I may be a bit younger then some here of that era but I grew up with the influences of the honeymooners, andy Griffith, the luci show, and abbot and Costello and so forth. I can quote some of those shows.

I can barely watch many 50 shows. Idk its just so unreal and staged. not that I didn't like them in my youth but I cant at present watch some of those shows for great lengths.

I can't watch them either. They can't hold my attention like they did when I was a kid.

I watched some of those shoes. They were ok.

You'd be surprised.
.
Yes,I know some shows were borderline. But look at I Love Lucy. They had to have twin beds because television would not film a man in a bed together.Ummmm.....quite a comparison to today.

I know. remember when mr.ed would whistle at Wilbur's wife? rather suggestive. none of that in those shows.
That is no big thing.Whistling at a woman? When I was in high school I would go to downtown Portland to go to the Dentist. The construction workers would whistle.I hated it. :shrug

if I whistled at an attractive soldier in uniform. I would be punished. it wouldn't take her to complain. others would say that is sexist, and so it is. sorry, I do have a lust problem but even I don't do that. I wouldn't let a man do that to jaci.

I thought it was sexist and disrespectful at the time.I felt like an object.

yes and that is the point gary made. ever really listen to elvis' song called love child? its not graphic but its subtle and theres other shows in the past.star trek implied that cpt kirk had sex with any female that he saw fit to do it with. yet compared to day those scenes are mild if not quaint but the planted the seed.

Just take a look at Shrek and the progression from very hidden mild adult theme becomes progressively more obvious.
I only watched the first Shrek but Lexy checked out the others and said she couldn't allow her son, 9, to watch them.

William Shatner always did give me the creeps.Something in his eyes or something.

I took my grandson to see "Polar Express" at the movies many years ago.It was a Disney movie.I guess I was expecting a nice appropriate movie. There was this creepy puppet on the train. It looked evil.It scared my grandson.I left disappointed.I thought why did they have to put that in there?

Hasn't there always been evil characters in fairy tales? The first movie I remember seeing in the theater was Snow White. My mom took me to an afternoon matinee. The evil step-mother scared me but there wouldn't have been much of a plot of good over evil without an evil character.
