I can't believe there is anything real about the photo showing a light beam. I've visited Chichen Itza, I've climbed El Castillo. It's a pile of rocks...a magnificent pile of rocks, but just a pile of rocks.
 
I would have to agree with mark, this looks like a glitch could be the camera or computer, haha.
 
Yeah looks like some sort of glitch or could be a Photoshop job. You get weird light streaks on pictures all the time this one just happened to be in the middle of the frame which was pointing at the pyramid.

People do believe some crazy things though so i'm not surprised people would buy into this.
 
Hahaha silly people. Now I would be impressed if the light beam ACTUALLY came down from the skies and hit the pyramid. That...nah...still too crazy...probably wouldn't believe it. XD
 
It's incredible what some people will do for 15 minutes of fame and perhaps some money.

It is a cool picture...even if it isn't real.
