Are un-natural sex practices Biblical?

Are un-natural sex practices Biblical? I recently posted a thread asking about a particular type of what many consider a "un-natural" sex act but that thread no longer exists. Should a spouse ask their spouse to engage in un-natural sex acts if one is uncomfortable with it? Should something be done if it only satisfies one person? Would it be wrong to tell your spouse you only want to participate in sexual acts that are the natural way? If anyone is wondering what I mean by "natural", I am talking about what the obvious intended purpose for something is. In this case, sexual intercourse. I won't go into further detail because I want to avoid being too graphic.

Here is the Bible on marriage:
Ephesians 5
22Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church 30for we are members of his body. 31"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." 32This is a profound mysteryâ€â€but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

This text makes it pretty clear what physical love between a man and wife should be like. No one who loves his wife as much as Christ loves His church would ask her to degrade herself in doing things that are unnatural or immoral. No woman who sees her husband as her godly head and respects him with the respect that God asks us to respect our men with would ever desire him to debase himself with out-of-control physical actions. The questions as to what a man and wife should do within the marriage bed then gets answered and answered more than adequately by having both committed to keeping their marriage according to God's intentions of marriage. A man's tender and sacrificial love for his wife and a wife's respect and submission to her husband will never result in one coercing the other into doing things that make one uncomfortable, degraded and unfulfilled.

Dave, my understanding is that you are single. When you find a woman who truly loves God and loves you, you'll find that your whole desire will be to uplift and fulfill her as she desires to uplift and fulfill you within the marriage bed. Then you'll find that many of these questions will simply not come up and you'll even wonder why you ever worried about them.

Hi Dave,

I believe you answered your own question by the way you worded the title. In it you referred to some acts as unnatural. <--- :yes

Define 'unnatural'.
Without knowing what we're talking about its a bit hard to know if the act itself is unbiblical.

A peculiarity about scripture is that there is in the law a prohibition about having sex during menstruation.
One has to wonder why God would take the time to mention that and then somehow forget to mention other things that some call 'unnatural'.

Somehow I think what goes on in the bedroom between a man and his wife was meant to STAY in the bedroom. If we arent talking about it, then theres no reason for disagreement about it :)

You may have missed the thread Dave started originally a couple of weeks ago.

It was deemed a bit graphic at the time.

I'll take a shot at defining unnatural:

Any sexual act that doesn't have the potential to result in conception (procreation) (not including forms of birth control, though some conservatives and orthodox would say birth control would be unnatural). Really no need to explain.

I think "unnatural" is very subjective and really does not have context in the bible that I am aware of when referring to acts between a man and a woman. I think it is pretty simple myself. If a husband or wife is not comfortable performing the act then the other should not ask them to do it and it should not be done. Other than that, have fun I say! As long as the two fo you are good with it and it enhances your relationship as a result, have at it! ;)

I agree. I don't believe sex is solely for procreation. A husband and wife should share pleasures together, it promotes intimacy. If it is something one of them is uncomfortable with, maybe it is best not done. As for that, yeah, explore each-other and have fun lol.
