Well, yes. A long time ago, the Human Genome Project showed that there was more variation within any "race" you might define, than there is between "races." It was realized that you might be more genetically like someone from the other side of the world than like you next door neighbor. Race is just a social construct; there are no longer any biological human races today. Humans are very good at sharing genes, and so the results are not surprising to scientists, although some creationists might find it astonishing.

One clue is that there is more variation within Africa than there is in the rest of the world. Which supports the fossil data showing that anatomically modern humans came out of Africa and replaced earlier humans in the rest of the world.
