What did you find? I think about "tenting" and the Promises made to David in his "tabernacle" on the hill (mountain). It very much points to us being pilgrims (temporary citizens, dwelling in our bodies made of dust) and tenting here (for me). Were you able to see good stuffs?I had to look up what "tabernacle" means. Guess that's bad.
Yes, the Temple of Moses is the part of it. It goes back to the time of wandering.Yeah it's the word for the portable version of the temple the Israelites used during their desert voyage. So in a broader sense it's any place where we meet with God?
I like the "pilgrim" thing, though.
He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”
4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.
9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.
11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’”

BINDING UP BROKEN HEARTS
NO. 3104
A SERMON
PUBLISHED ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 6, 1908. DELIVERED BY C. H. SPURGEON
The speaker reminded us that this was the passage that Jesus read out in the synagogue in Luke 4 where he follows it by saying “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” A heart stopping moment in scripture and history. It tells us that Jesus fulfills this prophecy. Will the dry bones walk? They will. Are we invited into the Tent of David, to converse with the Most High? We are. Be thou uplifted O daughter of the King, you are more than the ewe, more than the sparrow and are given "hinds feet" that are both swift and sure so that you may dwell upon the rocks and crags if that is the place wherein your Master calls you to seek him. Then the sermon began. It was on the following passage:
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendour.

Later, the materials for the Temple of Solomon were set aside by his father David and built as a house for God.
David didn't actually get to make what he wanted though... God called David to be a "man of war", and there is no sin in that. However, David shed Uriah's blood when he murdered this honorable man, and took his wife Bathsheba to be his own. God told David in 2Samuel 12:10, "Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own (NIV)". The Lord spoke to him about it in 2Sam 12:3 and when I read about "the poor man that had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. How he raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him", ... when I read that to my youngest son, the story that God whispered to him that day broke his heart (and mine).
Solomon actually built the temple but the one that God honored was the tent where David alone entered. Of this He said, "Amos 9:11"
This is part of what we are commanded to Prophesy to the dry bones:
And has the "Son of Man" prophesied? He has:
Psalm 147:3; Isa 61:11
And has that message been delivered to the Gentiles by the acts of the Holy Ghost? We know it has.
This is the message that Jesus spoke of and declared it was about Him, that they (those who had heard Him) had seen the prophecy fulfilled and Yea, this that very same message that even today is being delivered to you by a camel in the desert also known as Sparrow.

The Temple Dedication
2 Chronicles 7:1-3;12-16 When Solomon finished praying, a bolt of lightning out of heaven struck the Whole-Burnt-Offering and sacrifices and the Glory of God filled The Temple. The Glory was so dense that the priests couldn’t get in—God so filled The Temple that there was no room for the priests! When all Israel saw the fire fall from heaven and the Glory of God fill The Temple, they fell on their knees, bowed their heads, and worshiped, thanking God:
... “I accept your prayer; yes, I have chosen this place as a temple for sacrifice, a house of worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health. From now on I’m alert day and night to the prayers offered at this place. Believe me, I’ve chosen and sanctified this Temple that you have built: My Name is stamped on it forever; my eyes are on it and my heart in it always.
Yes! God is good!
His love never quits!

Can you imagine those worshipers who came from the desert tabernacle, or with the stories that their parents and grandparents told about the wonders of God with Moses, as they entered the Temple of David?
What was it like as music became a greater part of the worship? What was it like as the Glory of God filled the whole tabernacle? What does it mean, that we are changed from glory to Glory?
We became the tabernacle of God, not made by hands, the day we were indwelled by His Holy Spirit who has sealed us upon making confession of faith in Christ, Romans 10:9, 10.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
1 Corinthians 6:
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Ephesians 2:
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Hebrews 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Thank you, Sparrow for this post. Worshiping Him in Spirit and in Truth.
Somewhere it says that the Holy Spirit filled the tabernacle and the priests could not stand.
Love Mercy Me, my grandson's favorite song of their's is, Free.
Deborah13:
Sounds interesting; don't know that one.
So he's old enough already to appreciate this kind of song, then.
Blessings.
Yes, he sings it and understands it. That's the song he picks every night to listen to as he sleeps. When he doesn't understand something he asks his mom.
