Are you a redneck?

Are you a redneck?

I probably sound like one sometimes, but in reality I'm an introvert, a little on the quiet side.
I guess I'm a keyboard redneck sometimes, I'm a little bolder in 'letter'.

Thomas Jefferson loved rednecks.

In fact without them we would never had been able to feed all the people in the country.

Red Necks are a necesary evil, kind of like enemas.

I have always had a big red birthmark on my neck.--So I would have to say--yes I am red necked.

If you mean listening to George Strait and driving a pickup truck, then yes I am (Although I wear a suit every day, so its quite a conundrum.)

Grew up an aggie, love the rural life (thought I live in a big city now, another conundrum)

If you mean the stereotypical PWT, then I would have to say no.

I guess I used to be. Friday nights consisted of going mud slingin'!

My boyfriend used to wear tight jeans (ewwww!!!!), cowboy boots, cowboy hat, big belt buckles, etc. He used to ride bulls at this small rodeo. His car was this ugly long brown thing and it had bull horns on the front of it. The doors were broke, so we had to climb in and out of the window. (Dukes of Hazard all the way!)

Country music was all we listened to.

I LOL just thinking about it...

 ...thats funny Nikki.

According to the liberals, anyone who voted for Bush is one. But who cares what they think.

Well, Since I've been down in Georgia, not one Red Neck would accept this Yankee as part of the clan. I guess I'll stick with my Jer-Z heritage. :-D

Speaking for myself. I don't care what liberals think...

I voted for Bush.

I love guns.

I would rather have liberty than security.

I like to have fun.

Am I a red neck?

Being a redneck was actually lots of fun. I didn't enjoy the rodeos much, but I enjoyed hanging out with our friends. We would ride home in the back of his brothers old douley ( I'm sure I spelled that wrong!) and stop by the Waffle House to celebrate my ex's 5 seconds that he stayed on the bull...LOL!!! I'm just glad that I didn't end up marrying him. He was a major mama's boy...not that there's anything wrong with a boy loving his mother....but his mother came first in EVERYTHING. He's now married and has kids, but from what I hear, he hasn't changed much and mama still comes first.

Did you ever hear of Jerome Davis? He always used to be at the bull riding place. It was just some place out in the boonies. He ended up paralyzed, but at one time, he was a famous bull rider. I never talked to him. Truthfully, I thought all the guys were stuck up. They were so obsessed with the "sport".

They were so obsessed with the "sport".

I knew a kid back in high school that used to bullride. It was funny because he was smaller than average and we'd bust on him and call him the rodeo clown. He would come to school every now and then with black eyes or cuts and bruises all over his face. He said he was stepped on (on his face) by the bull once. I remember him being out for awhile with a seperated shoulder too. I never took that kind of beating in football.

They certainly have a lot of guts.... (I don't know about brains).... but they do have guts.

I feel sorry for the poor bulls. :sad
I personally don't see what they get out of it. Have you ever gone cow tipping?

Have you ever gone cow tipping?

 ... no.... never tried that. My grandpa was a farmer so me and my brother were taught at an early age not to play around near the animals. Plus as little guy, I picked out which cows were my favorites and named them.....

You've obviously never been to Bakersfield, Redding or other "red" parts of our state....LOL.

If you ever drive I-5 from LA north, roll down your windows and you can hear the faint sound of "Dueling Banjos".

Tell me, does the fried frog legs I had for dinner Saturday night qualify me as a redneck? I'm just not sure :o

Last time I had frog legs I was sitting about 20 miles in the middle of nowhere in a rural restaurant that sits on the bank of the Altamaha river, one of their many strange menu items is gator tail.
You can get a swamp plate, which is like a seafood combo except I guess it's a swamp combo instead.
I plan to try it one day, I'm sure it all will taste like chicken. :-D

I guess it could be according to where you had the frog legs that will give a clue as to whether or not your neck is red.
