When people focus on one thing they are usually very good at it. I think a bit of all round knowledge is better than being a master of one. If anyone spent all there time on one subject they would be a pro.

What good is it to know everything about one thing and nothing about a million other things.

Some pros would not even know how to change a light bulb.
