Awesome!

Job 37:1-14 NLT
My heart pounds as I think of this.
It trembles within me.
Listen carefully to the thunder of God’s voice
as it rolls from his mouth.
It rolls across the heavens,
and his lightning flashes in every direction.
Then comes the roaring of the thunderâ€â€
the tremendous voice of his majesty.
He does not restrain it when he speaks.
God’s voice is glorious in the thunder.
We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power.
“He directs the snow to fall on the earth
and tells the rain to pour down.
Then everyone stops working
so they can watch his power.
The wild animals take cover
and stay inside their dens.
The stormy wind comes from its chamber,
and the driving winds bring the cold.
God’s breath sends the ice,
freezing wide expanses of water.
He loads the clouds with moisture,
and they flash with his lightning.
The clouds churn about at his direction.
They do whatever he commands throughout the earth.
He makes these things happen either to punish people
or to show his unfailing love.
“Pay attention to this, Job.
Stop and consider the wonderful miracles of God!

Oh, what an awesome God we have!

When there is a mighty rain, don’t we do just what it says here? Don’t we stop and behold the wonder, the beauty, the fury of the natural elements of this world? We think deep thoughts of the beginning, Creation, the unfathomable, how huge God must be.

Yes, I do all that! I marvel at the wonder that God has set in motion by the speaking of His voice. What images are brought forth in my mind when I stand observing the heavy rain, the flash of lightning across the dark heavens, the crack of thunder that sets my nerves on excited edge, a blanket of snow dropping gently from on high…all these things are glorious and they are sent by God to nourish the planet, which reveals God’s meticulous caregiving, and his profound love for His creation! It fills me with awe. The scriptures also say that He sends these things as a punishment.

We need to always be careful that we live according to the standards of God so that when we behold these marvelous acts, we are never struck, but only always AWESTRUCK.

AWESOME GOD!

Amen and Amen!!

I love watching the rain, the wind, the thunder, the clouds,... all of God's beautiful creation. It fills me with such joy to stand and see evidence of his power, and love

One of my favourite things to do is walk in the rain, (people think I'm crazy), but I just think how most people I know hate the rain and complain about it when it comes. Someone should be enjoying it, seen as how God sends it for our benefit. I think that it really glorifies Him when we marvel at His creation, and enjoy it. :D

And I shall and one more AMEN!! Good stuff Alabaster!
