If you asked me -- and God knows nobody has -- I would have to guess that never in the history of humankind has anyone ever actually slipped on a banana peel.

I have never ever slipped on one, but you hear that Slipping On Banana Peel saying all the time.
Has anybody on this board ever slipped on a banana peel ?

At a local water attraction, bananas (the peels, too) were used to lubricate the wooden ramps upon which the "glass bottom" boats were slid down into the water. It was biodegradable, and instead of harming the fish, actually fed them.

I can't think of anyone that I know that has ever slipped on one. I know more incidents of people slipping on round objects like a pencil or a marble. I have not slipped, but stepped on many Legos in the last few years.

The most people I have heard falling (slipping) on the job, have been from those round, orange extension cords run across a floor....... they roll when stepped on.

Or..... from wet floors.

Never. Usually I trip over my cat. He likes to get under your feet. Apparently living dangerously is how he rolls.

Lewis that sounds common but I can't say for sure...I can ever remember slipping on one.

well, i didn't slip on a cat but tripped on them sometimes..... is that the same ?
cats just don't think they have to get up and move when someone's walking towards/ over them !

Cats always move out of the way when they see me coming their way. They seem to sense what will happen to them if they don't.
