Hey everyone, I'm a college student writing a paper about the topic Baptism and I have a surveymonkey questionaiire and I was wondering if you could help a girl out.

It's super quick
and super short
and would be very VERY helpful!

Thanks in advanced.
Also if you have any other information that may help out could you inform me?

Just took your survey. The first two questions are redundant.

Also, generally only catholics have god parents, though you could find them in other areas of Christianity.

Lastly, you may want to highlight if someone was baptized as an infant or if it happened when they were older, or both.

Done.

Our Lutheran church also has god parents. The purpose of which is to help the parents teach the child about the gospel of Jesus and Christian living and actually take over that role if the parents fail to do so. It's actually a very important role but personally, I have rarely found that role taken seriously in either the Catholic church or my present day Lutheran church. Sadly, most of the time it seems to take on a honorary status rather than a personal one as it should. I have never been asked to be a god parent myself.

It's the same in the Catholic church.
