Baseball's coming...

Boo yankees, sorry I'm against the money teams. :-D

I'm from the Kansas city area so I cheer for the Royals full well knowing they will do nothing :sad , but tickets are only $7 :D .

Same with the Rockies KnarfKS. Hard to get excited about a team you know will do poorly and simply cannot compete with the bankrolls of the Yankees, Red Sox, etc.

I agree, I don't like the open wallet we play with, but I'd be a Yankee fan anyway. Besides, the Mets spend tons too, and look where they always end up.

I didn't like the braves until last year. They lost almost everyone except for smoltz and chipper and were even better than the year before. That tells me Bobby Cox is an excellent manager.

St. Louis Cardinals fan here.

I grew up in St. Louis only about 15 minutes from Busch Stadium and went to dozens and dozens of games.

I grew up watching Ozzie Smith and really love baseball.

As a die-hard Montreal Expos fan, I am now placed in the awkward position of choosing a new team to root for. Even though I now live in Ontario, any Canadian reading this will know that an Expos fan can never switch to being a Blue Jays fan.

In a way, being an Expos fan had its advantage. With only about 5000 going to each game, you could get a great seat for peanuts. Plus, no post-game traffic problems!

I guess I'll have to root for the Oakland A's. My teen years fell in the early 70's when the A's won three straight world series (if my memory is right).

Yea, and being a Montreal fan probably makes you even more desperate since the NHL is caput for the entire season, huh?

I sure do miss hockey. I want to go to Montreal and watch a game someday. And even Toronto and Ottawa.
