Sitting here meditating on this scripture. Thinking of all my triumphs and failures as a child of God, this scripture resonates deeply. I often asked this very scripture in many prayers yet when God begins to respond, how quickly I'd forget I asked for this very thing! My trials and tests were there to probe me and prove me. To root out any wicked thing inside me. We are works in progress. Whatever it takes Lord, continue to lead us in the way everlasting.

Oh I just love those passage Rob thank you. I hope you don't mind me listing some of the other passages specific to this also dear to me and you too I bet :) He is so Faithful to purify us from sin and change our lives Isn't He!

(Psa 26:2) Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

(Job 31:4) Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
(Job 31:5) If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit;
(Job 31:6) Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity.

(Psa 17:2) Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
(Psa 17:3) Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

(Pro 5:21) For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.

(Zec 13:9) And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

(Mal 3:2) But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
(Mal 3:3) And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

(1Pe 1:7) That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Our God PONDERS upon OUR thoughts! O so incredible and so sobering lol! Thank you again for those verses dear brother

winepress Thank you for all these great scripture references! They are truly awesome. It truly is a spiritual fight to let go and let God. Reading these scriptures remind me of just how selfish and unprepared I can be in having a real relationship with our Heavenly Father. Thanks again!

So beautiful and wow, very intriguing that He ponders our hearts. I looked that up and see more. Yes very sobering thank you for this Word. And Rob you have a beautiful heart!

Pro_21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
Pro_24:12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

especially the second one. It doesn't look like we can get away with saying "I didn't know" does it. hmmm
