Creflo Dollar - An honest false prophet
Creflo A. Dollar may be may favorite televangelist; why? because he may be the most honest. Look at his name; there is no way a man so obsessed with money just happens to be named after his favorite subject. He even replaced the cross on his pulpit with his own initials. Be that as it may, there are countless other problems.
Primarily, Doc Dollar does not believe Jesus was God.
If Jesus came as God, then why did God have to anoint him? If Jesus - See God’s already anointed. If Jesus came as God, then why did God have to anoint him? Jesus came as a man, that’s why it was legal to anoint Him. God doesn’t need anointed. He is anointing. Jesus came as a man and at age thirty, God is now getting ready to demonstrate to us and give us an example of what a man with the anointing can do.
Not only was Jesus not God, he wasn’t perfect
....But Jesus didn’t show up perfect. He grew into His perfection. You know Jesus - one scripture in the bible - he went on a journey, he was tired. You better hope God don’t get tired. Isaiah 50 says, 50, 60, somewheres says where we have a God who fainteth not, neither is wearied? But Jesus did. If He came as God and he got tired; He says he sat down by the well because he was tired. Boy we’re in trouble.
....And somebody said, well, Jesus came as God! Well, how many of you know the Bible says God never sleeps nor slumbers? And yet in the book of Mark we see Jesus asleep in the back of the boat. (pause) Please listen to me. Please listen to me. This ain’t no heresy. I’m not some false prophet. I’m just reading this thing out to you of the Bible. I’m just telling you, you all these fantasy preacher have been preaching all of this stuff for all of these years and we bought the package! (Creflo Dollar Ministries: World Changers, 12/8/2002)
Hmm, problematic. If Jesus was not the son of God, neither was he perfect, why would Cref (do you mind if I call you “Cref?â€Â) be a preacher? Well, here we see a statement of “belief†which isn’t all that bad, though thoroughly contradicted by Cref’s words. But sure, some people slip up, make mistakes, etc. I’m sure Doc Dollar had a good reason for entering the ministry:
World Changers Ministries (WCM) is the “parent†company of World Changers Church International (WCCI), Creflo Dollar Ministries (CDM), and International Covenant Ministries (ICM). Arrow Records is an affiliate member of the WCM family of companies. Dr. Creflo A. Dollar is the Chief Executive Officer of WCM and President of ICM. Taffi L. Dollar is the CEO of Arrow Records. They are the Pastors and Founders of WCCI. WCM is responsible for all the administrative support and corporate oversight of the various entities….WCM’s leadership team, known as the Executive Cabinet….
What kind of church needs a parent company?
Oh, yeah, and at Cref’s home site we find
Foundational beliefs: The Bible is the written and inspired Word of God. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. The saints of God will be raptured. There is eternal life in either heaven or hell-you chose. There is an indwelling and a baptism in the Holy Spirit. Divine healing is ours today through Jesus Christ. Tithing is our covenant connector. Giving determines the amount of our increase. We should be baptized in the name of the Father,Son, and Holy Spirit.

Fascinating.
Cref is one of those newfangled health and wealth preachers. He has built an empire (literally) feeding on people’s fear and greed.
Now, last night we began to deal with the relationship between peace and prosperity, and we found out that the Hebrew word for "peace" is the word "shalom," and that word means "wholeness, completeness, nothing missing and nothing broken." And we read, and we'll look at it again tonight, it says "my soul is far from prosperity." Why? "Because my soul's far from peace because I forgot prosperity." We established last night that you are not whole until you get your money. Amen. Amen. (Praise The Lord, July 20, 1999)
He is the kind of preacher who says “Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit the earth†(Matthew 5:5 KJV) as a justification for owning a Rolls Royce. He even states “I'm telling you, Jesus wasn't poor, and He didn't wear no rags, either. Like we march in on these Easter little plays that we do at our church, with those raggedy sheets on. Jesus didn't have no rags on. He wore designer clothes, honey!†(Creflo Dollar Crusade, Feb. 9, 1999).
The real tragedy of Creflo Dollar is that thousands of people tune in to him and are led astray by aiming too low. To say that the meek shall inherit stuff of this world is selling short those who are meek. Take the world but give me Jesus, or in the words of clichéd comedians “Take my world… Please!.â€Â
People outside of a saving faith are really pathetic creatures. We are ruled by fear and greed: mostly in relation to money; we are afraid we won’t have enough or we want to have more. Cref and his ilk have made it there business to exploit human nature, not to save souls or store treasure in heaven but to store treasures on earth, and lots of it. And it’s working. Some say “sex sellsâ€Â. Sure, maybe beer and weekends in Cabo, but fear and greed sell everything else. You never see adds for necessities that promote the product as being just enough or sufficient.
But here is the point: there is a dead world out there that needs to be brought to life. It is blinded by heretics, fear, false prophets, and greed. It is the responsibility of the true church, the one that believes that Christ not only was the son of God, but is God. Thousands crowd buildings to be told that God wants them to be wealthy while little churches that preach the truth stand empty. They send money so someone will pray to save them from their poverty when we will pray for their salvation for free. Our message of the true gift of God, not just from God, can no longer linger cloistered among our church groups. Why don’t those who speak the truth evangelize with the same effort as those who teach lies? Is it because there’s no money in it?
Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit an earth more beautiful than anything we can imagine, but they won’t give it a second thought because their longing is for the God who made the stuff, not the stuff itself.
