The most diverse order of animals on the planet is by far the beetle order. God shows how He can take one design and create a spectacular array of forms.

Someone once asked Haldane what his investigations in biology told him about the Creator. Haldane replied: "An inordinate fondness for beetles."

I suppose one order or another had to be the most diverse. But I don't think that is necessarily a reflection on the preferences of God.
