Jesus is the only begotten son of God.
What does that mean?
It seems to me there is a difference between making someone and begetting someone.
Beget means to become the father of.
This is not creation.
An earthly father has a son, he begets him, he does not create him.
Only God can create life.
All the begets in the Bible tell us who the father is and who the son is.
There is no creation in begetting.
So, when Jesus becomes the begotten son of God, he is not creating Jesus, he is simply becoming his father.
Any verses in the Bible that seem to contradict this are merely misunderstood.

Good stuff!

I agree, all life is borrowed from God. We borrowed it from our parents, who borrowed it from theirs, etc back to Adam and Eve.
"And the man knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man with the help of Jehovah."

This is how I understand it. Jesus existed prior to anything God created:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God." However, Jesus was not "begotten" (human birth) until He was born of the Virgin Mary. I believe God did it this way to differentiate Jesus from a baby born from parents who were both human.

Amen Brother!

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

This verse proves that Spirit gives birth.
