I do not think I have ever read or heard that stupid quote but my advise has always been the same the Brother Richard Clark gave to wanna-bees, if you can do any to earn your living, then do that! Church leaders are compared to the shepherd of sheep and rightfully so. Sheep bite their shepherds as do the members of congregations. And when examined closely, the bulk of the rich or well off Pastors are not preaching the complete Gospel and, therefore are not called to preach. I have been preaching for a long time now and I have never made a dime for the work my LORD has called me to.
