Being Single

Being single DOES have it's advantages....

---When I come home from work in the evenings, my home looks exactly like I left it in the morning...

---I can watch what I want on tv...WHEN I want...I don't have to worry about missing CSI or Survivor because a sports game is on...or something....

---I can talk on the phone as much as I want to without making someone feel left out...

---I can go days without shaving my legs and no one would ever know Not that I ever actually do that or anything...

---I can walk around the house wearing whatever I want...there's no one to impress

---My money is mine....all mine! :P

---I don't have to hear snoring while I sleep or worry about someone stealing my covers...

---The bathroom sink stays relatively clean since I don't shave my face and leave hair everywhere...

---The toilet seat stays where it belongs...down!

---Dirty clothes stay where they belong...in the hamper!

---I get off cheap on Valentines Day....

---I can burp and poot freely... not that I ever do that either...

---I can have girly bedsheets

---Don't have to worry about getting along with inlaws...

Yeah, I've grown fond of single life for all the reasons listed above...having a boyfriend will take some getting used to on my part. I've always been independent...and being a single mom I have no choice BUT to be. I am the cook, the maid, the shopper, the provider, the nurse, the teacher, and the banker all wrapped up into one...I do it all. So, yeah for once I would love to have some of that burden...just some...fall on someone else's shoulders for a change. It's a comforting thought to think of someone taking care of me...

I'm content not being married, but would be a lie if I said I didn't want to be. I would love to be given the chance to be a wife to someone God has planned for me...to relinquish the control over to my husband...There used to be a time I never thought I would say those words because I am such a control freak and actually enjoy being in charge of things. But God has really been changing who I am...I believe He's just preparing me for a Godly marriage. (Hoping is more like it... )

Yeah i am quite content being single myselve. Mainly because i tend to pick woman who turn out to be crazy (literaly) . But i feel like gods working on me as well. Changing some of my flaws making more more confident more assertive etc.

-in heaven 72 eternal virgins will await me... :) oh wait im no muslim... :sad
i will have millions of them :P

I'm single for the first time in 2 years, and it hurts. I'm looking forward to being as positive about it as you guys.

Being Single...

It, at times, tends to be a love/hate relationship.

Just like marriage can be, at times. :-?

When married, we search for ways to have some privacy and/or personal time out.
And on the other hand, when single we search for ways to have companionship, and for ways to share our life with someone else.

Go figure. :silly:
I think it is a matter of contentment or the lack thereof.

The only way to find true contentment is through reliance on the Word of the Lord to help us THROUGH those fickle times in life.

When I give praise and thanksgiving for all that I have, in spite of the things "I think I lack", then I find that, once again, I return to that place of resting in the Lord.

Reading the WORD always brings me back to that place of peace and contentment.

We all have our emotional ups and downs, as well as material ups and downs. Such is life.

Single, married, single, married.... OH YOIY! Neither one is easy when you have no contentment in the present state of being. However! We have the Word of God to see us through any state of discomfort, or trial, or tribulation in this life on earth.

Yes, finding the good in our present situation is the thing to do.
The Psalms of David comes in real Handy! :-D

Being content in whatever circumstance we find ourselves in... single or married.... IS the KEY.
(At least for me...that is..... when I am not so fickle, wanting to be married when I'm single or, single when I'm married. )

So little time, so little time - I'm so frustrated
So little joy, so little joy - It's complicated
So little time, so little time, time to work it on out
yeah yeah

So little joy, so little joy - It's complicated
I feel I'm stumbling in the dark - Somnambulated
I feel my heart seekin' the sparks, and prayin' for love
Love love ...Prayin' for love

So little joy, so little joy - It's complicated
So little time, so little time ...when your heart's been faded
So little hope, so little hope - and I'm prayin' again for love
Love love ...is more than enough

Simply being loved loved loved
Simply being loved loved loved
Simply being loved loved loved
is more than enough, yeah yeah
[x2]

Simply being loved, yeah yeah
is more than enough, yeah yeah
Simply being loved, yeah (is more than enough)

So little joy, so little joy - It's complicated
So little time, so little time ...to get acclimated
So little hope, so little hope, and I'm prayin' now for love
yeah

So little time the pace has changed, but I'm still waiting
A thousand years of timeless days - Somnambulating
I'm stumbling wounded in the dark, but I'm prayin' still for love
Love love... Prayin' for love

Love love love ...Simply be loved (love love)

Simply being loved loved loved
Simply being loved loved loved
Simply being loved loved loved
Is more than enough, yeah yeah

Simply being loved, yeah (is more than enough)

So little joy, so little joy - It's complicated
So little time, so little time - It's so frustrating
So little hope, so little hope, and I'm prayin' still for love
Love love ...prayin' for love

So little hope, so little time - It's so frustrating
I feel I'm stumbling in the dark - Somnambulated
I feel my heart seekin' the sparks, but I'm prayin' still for love
yeah

yeah yeah ...I'm in love
yeah yeah ...To simply be -
yeah yeah ...I'm in love, yeah!

Simply being loved loved loved
Simply being loved loved loved
Simply being loved loved loved
is more than enough, yeah yeah
[x2]

Simply being loved, yeah yeah
Simply being loved, yeah yeah
Simply being loved, yeah yeah
Simply being loved, yeah

Simply being loved ...is more than enough
Simply being loved ...is more than enough
Simply being loved ...is more than enough
Simply being loved ...is more than enough
yeah

Single is fun for awhile, but then it can get old. I really enjoy being able to hang out with whoever I want whenever I want. It's nice that I don't have a boyfriend that expects me to spend every weekend night with him. It's great that I can go down and hang out with in my male friend's apartment and not have a guy get jealous of how much time I spend down there. I grew up with three males in the house and the only other female being my mom. I tend to be more independent than a lot of females, which some people of the opposite sex have a problem with. Chilvary is nice, but I want a partner not a protector.

I love being single. I hate it when people act like they feel sorry for me because I'm not with someone. I am not going to compromise my standards only to settle for less than what God wants for me.

Hmmm Being single.

Sometimes it's harder than usual, sometimes it's quite a blessing.

I don't need to worry about coming home LATE from work or working long hours, etc.

I can sit where I WANT at the theatre.

I have more time for me and for the Lord.

I'm just waiting on God's timing I fully believe that the God of the Universe who created the earth in 6 literal days AND numbers the hairs on my head will bring the proper gal along in His timing. Trouble is, His timing isn't mine all of the time and I don't feel led to pursue some that are seem like they'd be a great match. :D But waiting on Him is part of the process.

I'll just see what happens and be ready.

single is at times good only...
to me, being single is not a good thing.. sad.. :sad

Being single has it advantages and disadvantages...

Advantages being
You can cook if you want, or if you don't want to then that's cool too!
You can do pretty much do what you want when you want
Go to bed when you want, sleep late on weekends.
And the list goes on...

The main disadvantage I have found is:
Everyone I know is married, so there is no one to hang with. When you do get together you fell like a third wheel.

It's all good though, I'll be married a lot longer then what I will be single Lord willing. So I gotta enjoy being single while I can! :D
