Is there a difference in believing God and believing in God?

Most all religious people believe in a God but that is not the same as believing God.

I completely agree.

I was doing a Beth Moore study about believing God, not just believing in God.

It was essentially taking the promises and blessings God has given us seriously and living like it and laying claim to them as God has intended us to do.

Yes, I would agree as well. After all, even the demons believe in God.

But, to believe God, to believe what He has to say about ourselves, our condition before Him, our helplessness without Him, and our dependence on Him, now that's a totally different story!

Exactly...and it's trust and confidence in knowing all He has spoken is true.

When we believe in God we trust Him and strive to be faithful and obedient to Him with all our heart, soul, strength and mind until the end. Then we will be His good witnesses to Him as we should be.
