Benny Hinn: Let the Bodies Hit the Floor

So many people have different opinions of him, I just do not know which side to take. I believe many people though have been brought to Christ because of his ministry so I say that's a plus.

I just get cold shivers (bad way) when I see him, I just see 'bad' when I look at him.

I do realise the tricks they use and how mass hysteria is and is used and manipulated, but some of those people he was really shoving no wonder they fell down!!

But I do believe despite of everything as the scripture says (what is that bible verse?) about no word going out unused or something like that :confused that if people become christians I just hope they find a good bible church.

When he comes to Charlotte our choir is one of the many that are backup singers. Now I got to say I've seen some wonderful things. But I've seen a couple of times where everyone was asked to close their eyes and bow your heads in prayer, and I've been one that didn't out of curiousity. With all heads bow and eyes closed, witnessed when God has used him to give a fresh anointing, wave his hand in Christ's power, at sections of people that have been slung in the spirit unaware it was coming in their direction and be out the whole meeting. Seen it in the choir, and the power of the Holy Spirit is overwhelming. And my big ole biker husband whose a straight up no game person with God, had the experience of being slung in the spirit, and now believes. Unless you're straight up been there, and witnesss it by experience, then I would be slow to touch God's anointed, cause unless you're a 150 percent sure they're not, that's dangerous ground to walk on.

Now do I believe there's those who fake it? Yes! And there's those who don't and recieve. And those that God turns their deeds around for HIS glory. But what I've witnessed and experience is true. Do I think Benny Hinn is 100 percent? I don't think anyone is a 100 percent true to God in a "ALL" things....our thoughts of others can lead us astray for example...and no one but God knows for sure. I dont know their hearts or every hair on their heads, and that reason alone, I'm not that brave to tread there. LOL!

There has been quite a few shows done on Benny.

They talk about things such as the annual $100million his ministry brings in, to his newly built $4million home he built with a 10 car garage full of BMWs and Benz, to the $1,000 per night luxury hotels he always stays in, etc.

Sounds a bit excessive to me.

Well that's extreme excessiveness to me, and personally prosperous doesn't mean riches to me, but wisdom/knowledge in God and HIS Word. :study

Why can't a Christian be successful in this life? Many anti-Christian people always seem to point out "look at all his riches" like it was a bad thing :gah

It's a problem when you claim to be raising money to build a $30 million hospital in Mexico and it never gets built when the $30 mil is raised.

I don't have a problem with any Christian being successful. In fact I have a few Christian friends who are successful in life. They did it by working hard at college and running their own business with their blood, sweat, and tears. (paying taxes on it as well of course)

But for him:

1. His ministry is tax free.
2. He has never provided any objective proof that he has healed anyone.
3. He gets on TV talking about how his ministry "needs" your help to continue and asks for donations and suggests that God will bless you for giving. The people that give are typically very low income seniors who are barely getting by.

He's asking for money from people who have little and turning around and blessing himself with a $4,000,000 home, while they can barely afford to buy food.

I know what your saying and i agree.

I think there's a difference in successful spending, and excessive spending, there's to many people here in the US that are hopelessly homeless and hungry to allow excessive spending in holding a position of God. I can't help but think how many mouths can be fed, or bodies clothed on the price of just one of those cars, and I believe we're to be good and faithful stewards with what HE blesses us with, and not to the point of being self indulging, and extremely materialistic in worldly things.

Also Billy Graham had setup an accountability firm for ministries to join. It would go over the finances and make them readily viewable to keep people on the up and up.

Benny Hinn is not a member.

I am very careful talking about someone elses soul only God knows where that person is. But the bible also warns us numerous times over what to be careful with and who we should listen to.

Dear friends, stop believing every spirit. Instead, test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

I believe he is a false prophet for quite a few reasons - (easily look the following up there is plenty more)

He is a necromancer
( Mr. Hinn at the Blaisdale Arena, Honolulu, HI, on February 28, 1997)
that he stated clearly that he had seen saints ("dead saints") and that they talked to him, gave him instructions, and told him they were praying for him.
Also On the 4th and 5th of May 2000, Benny Hinn had as a guest, Dr. D. G. S. Dhinakaran of Jesus Calls ministry in India, who claims to have been to heaven and back multiple times. While in heaven, he claims to have spoken with Jesus, God the Father, and the apostles Peter and Paul.

Deuteronomy 18:9-12 "you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations.... anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, 12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. And(R) because of these abominations the LORD your God is driving them out before you.

Jesus will appear physically before the second coming

Benny Hinn claimed that Jesus is now physically appearing in Moslem countries, and he predicted on the April 2nd 2000 TBN broadcast that Jesus will appear physically very soon in many churches to signal the nearness of the second coming, and that Jesus would also appear physically on the stage at his crusade in Nairobi Kenya (29th -30th of April, 2000)! He told Paul Crouch he might very well have video of Jesus on the stage when he returned from his trip to Kenya!

"The hour is urgent. Many of you have known me for many years. But I am telling you right now, things I haven't said years 'n years 'n years ago. I believe - here this, hear this! I believe, that Jesus, God's Son, is about to appear physically, in meetings and to believers around the world, to wake us up! He appeared after His resurrection and He is about to appear before His second coming! You know a prophetess sent me a word through my wife, right here, and she said 'Tell your husband that Jesus is go'n to physically appear in his meetings.' (April 2nd, 2000 - TBN Praise-a-thon)
"And I know, that I know, that I know, we are about to see the greatest manifestations of God's presence ever! A prophetess named Ruth Heflin sent me a word recently and told me to get ready, to see, physical manifestations of Christ on the platforms in our crusades, that people will have visions of the Lord in the meetings." ( May 2nd, 2000 - This Is Your Day)

(now he said physical manifestaion which is different to a vision) -

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. Matthew 24:23

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.Matthew 24:24

He has made a lot of repeatedly heretical statments (that he had admitted himself) and seems sometimes sorry but instead of going back to sound doctrine he doesn't and makes more!

(whether you believe the interpertation of all of their stuff, there is a lot in Benny's own words and there is a lot more in other literature/TV programs which point out the danger)

Good points Vault.

John, it's only non believers who wave red flags in this instance. Even many Christians bring this to light. It's fine to be a believer and be financially successful. I say financially because the world defines success by $$$... be thankful that God doesn't.

It's not fine to rake in the $$$ peddling God's Great News and selling out, in the name of God, selling all kinds of things like miracle water and oils in a bottle or prayer cloths and whatever other goods are sold, in the name of the Lord.

Let me ask a question; do any of you say that James Dobson and his Focus on the Family Ministry have been a success?

Thanks John funniest thing I've seen all week!! Hinns a fraud :twocents

I view TV pastors like this in whatever they say/preach, whether Benny Hinn, Leroy Jenkins, Ernest Angley, and all the rest of them.....it's like eating fish, eat the meat, and spit out the bones! You have too, no one has a 100 percent of the truth and that alone is reason enough to test the spirits.

Now the one that's my favorite and I just love his studies, is Perry Stone. He takes you deep sea diving in the Word....I mean deep! Anyone hear of Perry Stone? He's about the only one I've not heard anything negetive about.
