Best time for dating?

First let me say I am offering advice as a parent of 2 children (9 and 10) so I have been thinking about this for a little bit. Not because my kids want to date but because it will happen before I know it and certainly before I am ready for it.

I agree with Scott that 15 is a bit young but that doesn't mean you shouldn't date.

Before we get into this I would like to ask a couple of questions.

Why do you want to date?
What advantages do you see in dating over just being friends?

Lets start there and we'll see where it goes.

I'd say 15 or 16. Start slow. See who you click with. Don't date just to date.
