Bible Study-8 (Christ’s Eternal Church)

This was the very beginning of this very same Eternal Light that first descended on a small Shepherd boy by the name of David, in the Book of Psalms. 23:1-“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.â€Â
23:2-“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.â€Â
23:3-“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.â€Â
23:4-“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.â€Â
23:5-Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over “.
23:6-â€ÂSurely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.â€Â

Here we find the fulfillment of Gods promises through his one and only Son, we should be very thankful that God so loved the world that he was willing to give his one and only begotten Son, as we find in St. John. 3:16-“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.â€Â
3:17-“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.â€Â

We are also thankful that Christ so loved the Church that he was willing to die on the cross, that he might shed his own blood so we could find redemption back into the Godhead, through this his one and only Church that Christ has now created on high. The same as we find in the Book of St. Matthew, 16:17-“And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.â€Â
16:18-“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.â€Â

Getting back to the crisscrossing over the line of the New and Old Testament of the prophets, we find this Light ascending coming down, descending from within the Old Testament of Psalms. 72:4-“He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.â€Â
72:5-“They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.â€Â
72:6-“He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.â€Â
72:7-“In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
72:13-“He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.â€Â

72:14-“He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.â€Â
72:15-“And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.â€Â
72:16-“There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.â€Â
72:17-“His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.â€Â
72:18â€ÂBlessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.â€Â

We find this same Light descending, as it once again crossover into the New Testament of St. John. 7:35-“Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?â€Â
7:36-“What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?â€Â
7:37-“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.â€Â
7:38-“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.â€Â
7:39-“(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)â€Â

We find this Light ascending coming down, descending from within the Old Testament of Isaiah. 40:10-“Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.â€Â
40:11-“He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.â€Â
40:12-“Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?â€Â

We find this same Light descending, as it once again crossover into the New Testament of St. John. 10:9-“And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.â€Â
10:10-“But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,â€Â
10:11-“Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.â€Â
10:14-“But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.â€Â
10:15-“And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.â€Â

10:16-“He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.ââ‚
10:17-“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.â€Â
10:27-“And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.â€Â
10:28-“And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.â€Â

God Bless You
Herbert
