Psalm34.3.jpg

To magnify means to praise highly and glorify God. Which is to show that we value what God is doing in our lives and we appreciate his involvement in our affairs. I'm I on the line.
.
Sister Hidden In Him what is your take on magnifying God.

Is there any best method to adopt when magnifying God?

What do you think about kneeling down to worship God. ..

When you tell people to magnify God with you did they see it as pride to attract jealousy or ....

Let's have your take.

What type of people do we ask to join us in magnifying the most High God

from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.

  • intransitive verb To increase the apparent size of (an object), especially by means of a lens, instrument, or device.
  • intransitive verb To increase the volume of (sound)
  • intransitive verb Archaic To glorify or praise.
  • intransitive verb To increase or have the power to increase the size or volume of an image or a sound.
- I left the exaggeration definitions out, because it is no exaggeration with how great God is. He is absolutely worthy of our glory, honor, and praise, because He is everything He says He is. So that is my take!!!!

-My method is probably singing most of everything else. Offline probably anyone would tell you I'll randomly break out in song. Bahaha. Usually it is some words of a hymn or gospel song, because these are what are on my heart. But I also magnify God in prayer and tongues. I don't kneel as much as I should. I believe kneeling is a sign of reverence, but I normally lay in bed in prayer honestly. The Bible says in Mark 12:30, "And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment." The strength part is nothing I had thought about much. But this is physical to my understanding. So kneeling and lifted hands to God is a Biblical way of worshipping and magnifying God. We are supposed to show His greatness with every part of our being. I grew up in a church where we didn't really lift hands past our shoulders. :biggrin I am a bit more "extreme" now. Living on the dangerous side. Bahaha. (I left that definition out about extremity, but magnifying God SHOULD be extreme. :)

-Ill have to try inviting people this way and see what they say. :biggrin I guess today's language is, "want to come to church with me." Or singing worship is an invite also. Once in awhile people will sing along with me or start humming. I post scriptures in order to invite people into magnifying God also and worshipping Him. So though I don't say, "would thou magnifyist God with me," I share the specifics as to ways to. I like the prayer sections to pray with people online for that reason now. If Christians just direct people to the Word of God and His attributes, the magnification naturally flows, especially from other Christians. I can do better maybe inviting specific people, like for evangelism. For as to who, everyone. A repentant sinner can magnify God the most I believe. I'd like to be able to have the words offline to draw people in who maybe have fallen away or do not know God. I can be a bit more bold offline in seeking people out/inviting people to church and to "magnify" God with me.

Oh yeh and I don't think anyone has ever been jealous how I magnify God. If you are doing it right, people more then likely think you are weird. :D I admit first time I felt lead to kneel during praise and worship on the stage, I was scared all the get out. My last church we never stood up front, so I am a bit more conscientious now.

David Hogan speaks at our church November 10th and 11th. Hundreds come to this and I'm singing on the worship team. I'm praying I wont get conscientious again and just focus on magnifying God in the same way. It is an honor to prepare peoples' hearts for this. I'm just a bit nervous.

This is what my mind gravitated to as well; worship, which is something I miss and need to get back to, even if only in my own home in private again.
The Bible says in Mark 12:30, "And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment."

My second thought. For me, this takes the form of service unto God; of dedicating the bulk of my time to Him and what I think He is needing me to do. But ultimately I think God is most powerfully glorified when an entire congregation is worshipping and praising Him. When this happens, the Spirit descends, and He begins inhabiting the praises of His people in ever greater power. When we truly glorify Him, He glorifies us, which is I think the way it is ultimately supposed to be. By this means we are transformed, "from glory to glory" by the Spirit of God, and as Paul wrote, it can increasingly be said of us over time that we "contain this glory in earthly vessels."

Wonderful!! It gladdens me when I see people living their lives doing well with things of God. I think heaven is already building up as some of us have already learned and supernaturally know the heavenly culture and are living it on earth. Most of the things we discuss here are some cultures of heaven which has automatically been transmitted into our spirit without anyone telling us. Though we do not know we are already prepared to meet the Lord and live the heavenly ways but I believe by the time He comes we will all realize the reason why we behave in such certain ways. Some of us will say "no wonder I do this....because that is how they do it here (in Heaven)"

I appreciate your views on this and as we discuss it, I believe someone too is learning, appreciative or being allergic towards it. Howbeit I believe that in everything, all thanks will still go to God almighty...

There are some spirits let me say angels that inhabits in praise and most especially worship when you kneel down and wave hands to God deeply in spirit. It makes things happen. I thank God for today. I am blessed.

Dancing is also a great way to glorify God. You will realize that when the wind blows it makes the tree to Dance, the sea roars and dances and the fire dances. These things are demonstrating Natural praises unto God. I think when that's why Jesus said

The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

Look at the above verse you can tell that the wind blows to tell nature it's time to magnify God. So when people dance they show the symbol of magnifying worship to God that they acknowledge God's sovereignty and Omnipotence.

Sister and Hidden In Him I hope you do dance too. I do dance and in my own side they look at me like "does he not have things bothering him or did he think he's still a kid" but in my heart I tell myself, I'm in God's presence and what is the essence of going to God's house if you cannot dance to reverence him and when I start dancing people who were forming maturity begins to thing about it that it's possible I get all the blessings and boom they begin their dances and it looks like a competition to me that I just have to control my dance moves but in the long run I am happy that I initiate the people of God into dancing and worshipping God and we all get blessed.

God honor dance a lot.

Spirit of God makes people to dance in 2 Samuel 6:20 David was dancing to remember how God took him from zero to Hero. And I noticed that people who dance to worship God (not to display civic talent) are very well blessed in life and healthy. I just notice it when I see people doing it for real. I am also a living testimony. Though we are growing but I will not stop dancing for God. 😊

David danced also. I forget who it was that told him he looked foolish, but that kind of all out worship for God is awesome. I dance with the kids at the school, and sometimes at home. :D I have come a long way from the frozen chosen, but haven't danced in church just yet. I've seen a couple though. :)

I like that. :) I can't dance to save my life (two left feet, LoL), but I would get very into things when I was on worship teams; not wild or anything, but I didn't just sit or stand there either, especially if I played bass. I really worshipped God when I played, and I think people loved that. I demanded excellence from everyone else on the worship team as well, or at least as much as each one was capable of. My wife said she's been to other church's since then and the worship teams look lifeless by comparison, sort of like they are just going through the motions. I would get serious, LoL. In a way, I still miss it. But the Lord called me to other things. (sigh).

I've seen a few guys dancing a little jig for the Lord in church, and it usually makes me laugh. Kinda like this, only with a little more Jesus in it:

My apologies, brother. I was supposed to invite you to these. This one is more light-hearted, but if you have anything you'd like to add, sorry I forgot to begin tagging you. :rolleyes
