Words of Christ in red -

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:15-18

Jesus taught His Apostles, some signs would follow those who believe.

In My name they will cast out demons;
they will speak with new tongues;
they will take up serpents;
if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them
they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

I think it is interesting that the first sign Jesus mentioned was ... In My name they will cast out demons;
I have noticed in my walk with the Lord, that those Christians who don't believe in the baptism with the Holy Spirit, also don't believe in casting out devils.

The baptism with the Holy Spirit is one of the three baptism's mentioned in scripture and it is where Jesus wants us to walk in power to demonstrate the authority He has given us over all the power of the enemy.

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:4-8
  • for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now
As we see here, Jesus made a clear distinction between the baptism of John, (water baptism), and the baptism with the Holy Spirit. The baptism with the Holy Spirit, is where we receive power to do the things that Jesus describes in Mark 16. The baptism with the Holy Spirit comes with evidence; the evidence is speaking in new tongues.
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

This is the lifestyle of biblical Christianity. Please don't let your friends or relatives try and discourage you from walking in the powerful lifestyle that Jesus Christ paid the price for you to have.
