Biblical support for Arminianism.

That's funny. If only it were true.

Then perhaps someone can make a Biblical case for Calvinism. The recent efforts I have seen have not been convincing at all. This topic has been extensively debated of late and, in my opinion, Calvinist arguments presented in these forums have been successfully countered. Perhaps some better arguments are out there?

I would like to qualify what I wrote in my last post. I think it would be more precise and correct to say that it has been consistently shown (in these forums anyway) that Biblical texts that purport to support Calvinism are somewhat ambiguous in the sense that a Calvinist reading is not the only defensible reading - the texts in question allow a Calvinist reading but do not require one.
