Biblical Truth Will Never Be Seductive
For all those Christians struggling to preach the word of God to the unsaved world it would be wise to consider that the bible calls a lie a seduction, and this seduction leads many astray chasing the hedonistic passions (lies) of their own sinful flesh.
God walked with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and this close relationship did not stop Adam and Eve from following the seductive lies of Satan. Once Adam and Eve sinned they began to chase the seductive lies of their own making leading to one calamity after another. This hedonistic seduction persists today as many people, including Christians, become an advocate for homosexuality, abortion, ruinous debt, licentious living, etc.
Since the bible is TRUTH (the actual word of God), the bible WILL NOT, nor can it ever be, used as a device to seduce people into believing. Christians will always have a difficult time combating the lies (seduction) of Satan with the truth of the GOSPEL since lies seduce a person into believing falsehoods and the bible's inherent truth leads to virtue and salvation, not seduction and ruination.
Many people begin reading the bible looking for the same seduction of lies that permeate society but all they find is the truth of salvation, Jesus Christ. If you are tired of all the false claims of hedonistic living, that offer ruinous seduction rather than virtuous contentment and inner peace, then simply believe in the truth of God's love for all mankind. For God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of this world on the cross and anyone who believes in Jesus Christ will be forgiven of their sin and be restored and renewed with the TRUTH of the gospel, Jesus Christ.
