Can anyone recommend good biographies of the Apostles? Barnes & Noble is my primary source for books I seek. Since it's a secular company, I'm usually leery of the books on Christianity at that site. I don't recognize most of the publishing companies and authors of the books I find there. I wish I could go to my local Christian book store. Unfortunately, there aren't any in my area. Thanks

I think a good biography on any of the 12 disciples would be hard to write as the Scriptures are the sole source for any knowledge of them.

The best I could recommend is one concerning the Apostle Paul. (The Life And Epistles of St. Paul, Conybeare and Howson, Eerdmans Publishing Co.)
