Birth of Sin

When we are tempted, we are enticed to reason in our own desire. As this happens we are drawn away from the reasoning of the Holy Spirit.
When that desire has become an intention (thought) caused by our reasoning it gives birth to sin. And sin when it reaches maturity produces death.
When anyone who looks lustfully upon a women has already committed adultery in his heart, the heart pollutes the person (birth to sin) without external action.
When we choose not to reason with God and choose to reason with ourselves this is disobedients to the commandments of God.
Temptation means 'will I break the law of God or not".
By reasoning with our Father through our Lord and God Jesus Christ our hearts are renewed as we are reconciled (put into order) by His reasoning. Our Father reasoning through His Living word Jesus Christ becomes our intention within our new heart as we grow in truth and knowledge in His spirit and transferred from our dominion of darkness to the reconciliation of His Son's kingdom our Lord and God Jesus Christ by the transition of Holy Spirit.
Make no mistake; it is by us surrendering our throne to our Lord and God Jesus Christ we are saved, Faith becomes dead without the continuation of repentance with confession when we sin there after being saved. Birth to sin is by choosing temptation, by reason of intention creating thought from the heart even though an external act does not occur. The law is alive within us by the Holy Spirit as our heart is circumcized. The Holy Spirit knows all about us and inscribes us in the book of life and resurrects us to become one with God in spirit of Christ.

Thanks for the post.

Ok now, who believes that there comes a time when God will intervene and cause true remorse and repentance in the heart of a believer caught up in a particular sin?

That depends on what you mean by "intervene". I believe that God chastens those He loves - so eventually the believer will begin to experience that chastening, in whatever form that might be. God will allow a believer to experience the consequences of sin, and He will continue to draw the sinning believer to Himself... but He won't override their desire for sin. They'll end up miserable, empty, and joyless for sure - all signs that they are actively going against the Lord - but if they choose to remain in that state, God's not going to "make" them repent. I imagine life will start to get real rough for them, though, until they see sense!
