And confidence is an emotion we all have that has nothing to do with belief or faith.

As Paul said to the Corinthians, this wisdom is imparted by God in secret, revealed by the Spirit, and it not received by the spirit of the world. That's why you can't find faith or understand it as we do, you are limiting it, grasping at it by your own standards, and thus quenching it. But as many as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ, and the mind of Christ.
