(Assuming the bossiness is out of order...)

Ignore them, or leave.

And maybe a few well chosen words of rebuke on the way out.

I haven't run into somebody like that yet. Normally, I would probably suck it up and pray for patience. Since you bring it up, the better response would probably be to gently bring this to their attention. I guess it depends on how well I know the person.

very wise :thumbsup.

No , you don't have to leave. Do not forsake the church or the body of Christ just because of one person. God must be building both of your characters. Meeting people and circumstances like that will test you as to whom your commitment is, to God or to your emotion.

I'll leave you this verse...Joshua 22: 3

“You have not forsaken your brothers these many days, down to this day, but have been careful to keep the charge of the LORD your God.”

For bossy people telling me what to do (especially when I know they are being lazy attempting delegating instead of helping). I found a surfire cure for this:

I request a practical demonstration of how the task is to be done. Lazy peole walk off annoyed and serious people get in with you to help. And you don't mind helping those.

Lol for anyone else taking liberties of delegation not bestowed on them..they can bugger off! I am more than happy to mention the bossiness if its too much.

If you don't have to stay at a church, find another one. Life's too short to put up with annoying people when and where you don't have to.

Don't stay at a church where you're being annoyed by something. Chances are the problem isn't going to go away and you'll just end up storming off anyway. So leave before it gets ugly, 'cause it probably will.

My experience has shown me that character developing relationships abound outside of the church. Don't let a control freak ruin the one place where God gives sanctuary to his sheep. Just move on to another fellowship.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean that I would leave the church. I meant just leave the area or avoid the situation for a few minutes to calm down until I have gotten over the irritation of being bossed around.

I agree with you. God puts people or situations in our lives to test and strengthen us. He builds up our character. In that case, God would do that to me to help me have more patience! :lol
