Why is all political talk banned and im giessing.it was just because of the USA, that's where everyone argued and there was conflict , if I post political things about my country let's be honest none of you really care because it's not your country and no decisions have any impact, and there is not going to be a big argument, just a general peaceful discussion about the topic if anything.

Breaking news.

The fishing has not been going well the last couple weeks. I have not even got a hit. I changed my line and went from 15kg to 24kg and think it has had a impact as it's heavier line so my baits sinking faster and not looking as natural, although i did hit once on it when I changed and it was a solid fish.

I'm thinking of either going back to lighter line or staying heavy but changing to braid instead of mono, but it's expensive. If I stay lighter line I cannot lock it up and control the fish and can get failed and busted off easy as I have to conquer lota of Faul and structure, braid is good but one nic of the line on foul or stucture your pinged off.

At the moment Im getting no hookups so something is no right, and being heavy I don't have much line on my spool but I can lock it.

I think im going to go 24kilo braid.

And that's today's breaking news. Lol.

As an experiment, go back to light (assuming you still have some sitting around). If fish bite, then your theory is correct. You can go from there. No sense buying the expensive stuff until you know what is what.

I'm like you and rarely watch the news. It took me two hours of research to try and figure out what it was that they were trying to impeach him over. I never could get a straight answer. Just a lot of ranting and raving. Even after all that research I still got it wrong somewhat.

It's like a button you push and people start getting agitated and frothing at the mouth. Reasonable conversation goes right out the window. That's why we don't do politics.

Trump was acquitted in the Senate.

The following week during the State of the Union Speech by Trump the Democrats acted rather poorly...then had a primary election in IOWA as well as the Republicans.

There was actually a guy running against Trump for the Republican nomination. He of course lost.

The Democratic party took up most of the news with their list of candidates. Which I find interesting. The number of all people voting in the Democratic primary didn't exceed the number of votes the loser in the Republican primary received.
Meaning that for all the time the news media is spending on topics...it's not relevant to the number of people involved.
The Democratic party is basically in shambles at the moment with no true leadership and a handful of candidates that no one cares about. No one came out to vote for them.
A lot of this is probably due to the highly political rhetoric they give that doesn't seem to resonate with people and backlash for the Impeachment.

So....to keep the sanity around here...over issues created by the media...we aren't doing politics. It's a safe haven from those who would froth at the mouth.
 
It kind of all makes sense how it's going because that is God's man in there. I don't think they can stop him from a 2nd term! As long as we continue to pray for him at least.

I'm still on the same setup and 5 nice size fish just come through and went for my bait fish but no hookup. They were fat good size. Maybe just not hungry enough. But still it's just not right. It should have been inhaled like they usually do. They not stupid, this species of fish is very cunning that's why I use fluorocarbon trace so it's near invisable and when they know they hooked they will try find something to bust you off. They must know something is up.

I been waiting two weeks, and 3 hours I been fishing and waiting now for that hit, but just not happening.

Maybe some more come through and bite time feeding hard and I hook up. I got all night.

I agree. Anyhow, I only got a couple days left fishing then im going north hunting for the weekend for some possums, goats and pigs.

Pest control. Private property.

I enjoy a goat curry, a pork roast is always good.

When I use a floater the heaver mainline is all good, I used a more active lure that done the damage.

I finally got one, had a nice solid fish earlier have a sniff but didn't take, then change of tide and got this, not big, smaller than average but I'm happy to get a hook up after a couple weeks. It went for the weed line and I just locked up my gear and wenched it out, done a good couple solid runs. Nothing great but it's a feed.

As you can see they can inhale big lures, even the smaller ones like this. I use live baits.

I think I figured it out. The fish favourite bait is very good, smaller, and not very active, but is a favourite food, and if a good fish is around it will just inhale it for a snack even if not on bite time, but it's not very active so does not attract attention, where if i with the higher more active lure, that's awesome and I done well with it before, where if they not feeding will just have a sniff, but they are more active so they get the attention, but bite time it's inhale.

That's my conclusion. I knew that anyhow, so it's just a gamble.

Today I use a bigger more active lure. So its either going to inhale or have a sniff, if it seen my smaller lure it would have just inhaled for snack even it's not bite time.

I think that's my conclusion even I have know it.

So its active big lure that attracts attention but only gets bite time, or smaller favourite snack, that is anytime yet not as active and does not give off the attraction, but if seen is a easy hook up. The big one that sniffed before, if that was my small lure it just happened to pass it would have been a hookup.

I don't know. I'm just a amateur.

The fish I target are predators so the more active the lure the better.

My employer went fishing yesterday and took out his big flash boat and wasted loads of gas while I was working and he got nothing, bit he was going for marlin, so I sent him a photo of me today of my fish from the dock on my day off, but I got no reply. Lol. I told him to send me some pics if he hooks up but he got nothing.

I just teach off the dock while im camping in my tent.

A human rights issue is when people get sent to prison and are forced to expose themselves naked against there will to authorities when sentenced that completly degrades them as human beings, and if they get a job in prison get paid way under the legal minimum wage, and also as citizens don't get a right to vote. Time is time served in prison , that's suppose to be the penalty. Time out.

But this is apparently human rights.

Jesus feed 5000 with 2 fish, I only got one small fish today and that feed 12 people with generous portions.

5000 with two fish, they might have got a couple of big Pacific blue Tuna or something. Even a couple of Marlin. Big Tuna's and marlin hit 1000lb even these days, 2000 years ago they probably bigger and more than the modern world the fisheries decline.

They would have need some strong stone age gear to land it though , but the stone agers had some quality good engineering skills and they use quality material, it was not made in China.
