they are named after the communities they often start at or some old street name. ie cherry lane. big lots which was where that route started.this is one of my favorite routes but it is long the last two streets called beach comber lane and Rolland miller dr are my favorites . some of the oldest homes in indian river shores. this is the wealthy town that I often mention here. I do read the city hall and safety officer complex as well. it a young city. est 1951. I have found the two roads I like in topos dated in the 58.View attachment 6188Where is the Pepper Tree route?
(I rather enjoy the names for the areas....quite creative!)
yes and no. some routes I have done before and because we have two newbies still on probation they will do the more challenging routes for them and we others fill in. of the 12 series this month I wont touch. yet I have a new one on the 13 series, which im not worried as I have done the sister route to that one and I know where it meets that. just the other side of royal palm place that I haven't been into for reading save check reads is what I will need to be shown.Do you switch routes often, jason?

no, on that I dont have a choice. most of the routes I have save the Bermuda route which is shown for the most part in that picture I do like. with newbies its generally that he tries to keep them on the routes for at least six months till they get used to them. so when we have months like this that have some days of 5 or more reading at once he will try to keep them as close to the schedule. shoot mike and Justin have had easier routes then me in the last two days. Justin had the anchor which isn't even a noon route. and mike had the mooring line drive route which isn't even an 1100 am finish time for me. I have done that route since I was on probation and take off and put back on and know that route well and finish it under 4 hours. The newbies get the more difficult routes?
Do you have a choice in which route you get?
I use google earth a lot to remember where im going to go. I figure I would zig zag cache cay and how it might go. I was off View attachment 6189 on on section but it was minor.I like the pictures you provide to explain the routes, jasonc !
I cant remember how I found that its not really advertised as a park. I was driving by that with Nathan and noticed it an decided since the other home was old that I should take my wife and take a gander. it has a walking trail that leads to the beach. its called the captian forster homestead and preserve. one of many homes that still stand that have fireplaces and predate electricity and plumbing and water grids. I have posted a few of those before.Amazing that the fireplace & the staircase are both still there, jasonc!
I hunted for that church as I found it in an arial didn't know what the story was why it said the original building is north east of the current church that is there now. its there, I can make it out. let see it is the church like building to the north of the larger edifice. how on earth did I miss that. I didn't have a good reference as I do know. you can clearly tell by the windows that is her.View attachment 6191You live in a history-rich area .... quite a stunning church!
oh, ok! thats interesting.I read meters. if I deliver anything its a shut off notice. pay today or its lights out and no water.
it was rotting and I do remember when it was still wooden and had the original appearance but I simply forgot what it looked like. its seems to be the motus operandi for the churches here and city to do that where I report to work is the second location for the police station. its not the original one. another one is where my brother works. he works near the second air port terminal that was built into a better one. why they do that I don't know. you don't know if you weren't told. It's good they didn't change the windows on the original structure. Still, alterations have been made.
