California school boy ordered to remove U.S. flag from bike

Re: Now THIS is my hometown!!!

Denair is a good town, and doesn't deserve the national spotlight on something as negative as a kid being told to put away our flag because of racism!

I think any time something as unfair, unConstitutional, unAmerican, and authories bullying a child as this incident, it not only deserves but should be put in the spotlight because if it is allowed to go on or be ignored, then it becomes acceptable and the next town to do it can say "but that town did it and no one complained". Exposure is essential to maintaining one`s rights. Of course, no one wants it to be from their beloved town, but if it is (and it could be any of our hometowns) then we just have to bear the shame but be glad the poison has been detected and exposed. Which would be worse to not let this get in the spotlight and the policy to quietly continue and the boy never gets justice or to put it in the spot light for the administration to be forced to look at what a bad decision they made and for other administrations to realize they better not follow that administration`s path? I think the latter is the best.

"hundreds of patriotic bikers — many of them veterans — showed up to escort him to school Monday morning: "

Yea for the bikers!!!!

Sunday, I saw a man who rides his bike around town a lot, but this time he had a flag on his bike.

I assume he was making a statement. :D
