Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 but though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

This is something that amazes me as I can not perceive what goes through the minds of those who know truth, but yet ignore truth and sell themselves out for another’s distorted gospel so they can feel socially acceptable in the eyes of others, but yet allow themselves to be condemned by their own actions. Are we more concerned by what others think of us or should we be concerned what God sees in us as His servant that needs to be letting the light of Christ shine through us to present a Gospel of truth to others instead a gospel of fiction.

At this present time I wonder what a 'gospel of fiction' might look like.

It seems that what happens most of the time is people just think they've embraced the real gospel but really haven't...not so much replaced it with something else. What do you think?

How so true! Many believers are rather bent on following a certain preferred choice of church or denomination rather than simply learn and believe what the Bible says. Show them their beliefs that clearly contradict the Bible yet they ignore and adamantly persist in what they think their church/denomination holds true.... They claim a certain level of "spiritual superiority" even at the point of mocking and looking down on believers from other churches/denominations.... SHEER PRIDE !

Proverbs 16:18
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 16:18
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

I've found an interesting characteristic of the Word. It proves us all to be liars sooner or later. In the end everyone 'should' find areas of scripture that they too do not accept, do not understand or they even openly disagree with because many scriptural facts rub their personal doctrines the wrong way.

Romans 3:4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Paul cited that matter from this O.T. scripture:

Psalm 51:
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

I've found those facts to be personally comforting when engaging with The Word. He Is Perfect. The readers aren't. Kinda puts ones self into a better perspective. When The Perfect comes, none of us will have to worry about being right, RIGHT?

Even Paul admitted seeing only in part. That also means the balance of us are probably not going to see as much, let alone agree. How totally right can a sinner be anyway?

Most Christians operate under the theory that the bible must be properly interpreted to be properly understood. They practice biblical interpretation. To all of these Christians, anything you say that disagrees with their interpretation will ipso facto just be your interpretation, ergo just be your opinion. In most Christians it's hard to tell if that's pride or just following a well worn Tradition.

Can two walk together except they be agreed..?

Although the good seed of the word of God is sown abundantly.. the LORD tells us that few find it.. and this seems to be when the seed lands upon an honest heart..

IMO many simply do not believe the simple truths of the word of God.. things like;

There are none good but one..

There is nothing good in me, that is in my flesh..

All have gone astray..

If we shall seek to save our life we shall lose it..

If any man shall come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow Me..

Stuff like that..

IMO, and as noted in countless conversations.. many people simply do not BELIEVE what God has said in His living and powerful word.

Tina hit the nail on the head as many are only followers, but have no truth in them and this is what leads others to follow in teaching a false gospel.

1Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I wouldn't say we, which includes you by the statement you made, are liars, but that we lack knowledge if we are not listening to the Spirit teach us all things, but only relying on man to teach us. If we would just empty our minds of all the teachings we ever heard and truly got into the word for ourselves with the Holy Spirit opening our Spiritual eyes and ears then we would be able to discern which spirit is teaching us. There are only two, Spirit of truth and spirit of error.

Most might just miss the point?
James 4
[17] Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Regardless, most post daily it seems that there is no perfect 'doctrine' where they are at. All church's are flawed they say. But according to the verse it tells me that if that is (was) the case, that I would still be accountable to even start up my own church if need be, and obeying [ALL THAT I KNEW]. Rom. 8:14 What more can anyone be accountable for??? Another of Christ very own verses is Luke 12 that tell's it all as I see it!

Luke 12
[47] And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

[48] But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

So it is documented that most who suffer the longest in the lake of fire (hell) will be the above. The Matt. 7's Broadway + Rev. 17:1-5 ones are a great number of His ex/fold, yet indeed, would look good on the outside to most.

If we admit to the fact of temptation via the tempter it is quite easy to see 'who' the liar is and 'where' the liar is located. That is part of the exercise of Truth in the bearer of same. I have no need to 'lie' about that fact or to think I can deceive God in Christ about this particular matter. My thoughts remain far from 'only' The Perfect Thoughts of Him and from Him. So I have sought to examine my own imperfections and that is what I found and share. I believe it is factual to the scriptures.
If we would just empty our minds of all the teachings we ever heard and truly got into the word for ourselves with the Holy Spirit opening our Spiritual eyes and ears then we would be able to discern which spirit is teaching us. There are only two, Spirit of truth and spirit of error.
There is what may apply to us as believers and there is the exact opposite that would apply to the presence of the tempter. Therefore a 'believer' should understand that we stand under the 'entirety' of Gods Words, even the bad and dire ones as THOSE WORDS certainly are applicable to the TEMPTER.

all I'm sayin.
