Honestly, I think that's going to depend on whether or not someone is born again. If one is born again, then they have the witness of the Holy Spirit to confirm to themselves what is true about God. Sadly, we live in a world where, through each passing generation, we seem to have more 'christians' than we have people who are born again. I think that this was clearly taught by Jesus himself that not everyone who said to him, "Lord, Lord. Will enter into the kingdom of heaven." Most of the new covenant writers teach us the basic truth that there will be wolves in sheep's clothing.
So for me, I believe that God's word is absolutely true without error of any kind. But for someone else, that may not be the case. And I find that this is especially made evident in whether or not we believe all of the miraculous events that God's word portrays to us. But we also must temper that with the teaching that there are those who are not yet mature in their faith and do as Jesus said for us to do and teach them all that he has commanded us. Only God knows the heart of man. The desires and purposes of each one. There are some 8B hearts living today on the earth and God knows every single one of them. What an awesome God we serve!
