Growth Can you hear God's Voice

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
KJV
In other words, are you able to hear the Word of the Lord and obey?
He only knows those who are able, for they are being formed the image of him.

We hear His voice when we spend time in Bible study and quiet contemplation of His Word. The more time we spend intimately with God and His Word, the easier it is to recognize His voice and His leading in our lives. Employees at a bank are trained to recognize counterfeits by studying genuine money so closely that it is easy to spot a fake. We should be so familiar with God’s Word that when someone speaks error to us, it is clear that it is not of God.

While God could speak audibly to people today, He speaks primarily through His written Word. Sometimes God’s leading can come through the Holy Spirit, through our consciences, through circumstances, and through the exhortations of other people. By comparing what we hear to the truth of Scripture, we can learn to recognize God’s voice.

Very good,
Yes the more you get to know the Word, being always in the Word, being able to accept the Word to indwell you, getting him down into your heart, The more you will recognize it and know the path to take in all situations(the perfect will of God) and can follow him.
Many have read the Bible, but they read it like just a story book. Yet Jesus told us that we must have spiritual eyes and ears for good sight and hearing. Faith comes by hearing physically, and Hearing spiritually what the Word is really saying to us. To rightly dividing the Word of truth.
Not all can hear his Voice sad to say. The Hebrews could not, because The Word/His Voice was to strong for them, too hard for their flesh to hear and obey, so they just wanted Moses to hear it for them.
Many read it with mockery and skepticism looking to prove it wrong, not with a heart to see truth. God allows them to be discouraged quickly, so that they can't see Truth, because they don't have the right heart attitude to receive the spiritual things He has hidden for those who are of a sincere heart.

Who is not able to obey God? How does God know you will obey?

How do we get greater and more glorious things to do from the Lord?

How does the Lord know it's time to increase and give us more?

Mark 4:9 KJV
9....And He said unto them, " He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Mark 4:11-12 KJV
11....And He said unto them, "Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the Kingdom Of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12...."That seeing they may see, and perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them."

Mark 4:23-26 KJV
23...."If any man have ears to hear, let him hear"
24....And He said unto them, "Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you; and unto you that hear shall more be given"
25...."For he that hath, to him shall be given; and he that hath not, from him shall be taken EVEN that which he hath"

It's funny how so many believers never truly understand these scriptures. They can not make the connection with the parable of the sower in which they come from. I would enjoy it more then words to actually have a thread on Mark 4 and especially the parable of the sower.

Any way Have a wonderful and blessed week end
Jim
