God rewards those that 'follow Him'. In the EXACT SAME respect, Satan rewards those that follow him, (temporarily). So, in essence YES one can CERTAINLY devote themselves to Satan for personal gain and power. And the MORE one that follows Satan is able to 'bring OTHERS' to him, the MORE gain and power is rewarded them.
Satan LOVES those that follow in his 'footsteps'. Those that follow the SAME path of doom as himself. Those that long to be 'their OWN gods'. So, the more CLOSELY one follows in the SAME path as he, the MORE HE will offer incentive, (wealth, power, etc.........), to take it as FAR as possible.
It's a 'two edged sword' that will destroy them though. Not ONLY will they LOOSE life eternal and a position in the presence of God and His Son, but upon the END of this life, their punishment will be MULTI-fold compared with those of lesser standing. For when the TRUTH is finally revealed, they will be forced to accept that what they THOUGHT was 'their OWN power' was nothing more than SLAVERY to a depraved master. And after having exalted themselves above their brethren on this earth, being brought BACK to the truth that they are NO greater than ANY OTHER will certainly be punishment beyond compare. Like having money and LOOSING IT, it usually leaves the benefactor in DIRE STRAIGHTS.
