Are there any other cancer survivors here? I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in june 2005 and have been cancer free since I finished the chemotherapy at the end of 2005.
Yesterday after church I had some questions regarding the sermon and I went to look for the pastor. I found him talking to a 30 or 40ish guy. As I got closer I overheard him say he just found out he has cancer. He was scared, nervous, confused...all the things you are when that happens. As I stood there waiting my turn the pastors wife, a breast cancer survivor, came up and was consoling him and telling him her story. I felt compelled to intervene so i just stepped in and said' we could start a support group' and told him a little of my story. We then proceeded to the prayer loft and prayed for this man and his family. Jesus will be with him every step of the way.
A little while later I finally did get to ask my questions, but they seem insignificant now. I thought I had some questions concerning the sermon, but God had other plans.
