[__ Science __ ] Cataclysm From Space, 2800 BC – The Cause of the Biblical Flood

Why not take what's written in the Bible about the flood and extrapolate from there. Use the available material and build a hypothesis on that, no use building model's without a hypothesis first.
I agree, that's why I made my objections to the video content based on what the Bible actually said. I was merely trying to answer your question by explaining what they were trying to do.

It's always aliens, you see. Those pesky beings from another world with their probes, having fun setting some poor farmers cow's on fire.

Is that how the cow got caught on fire! Ha, I've been trying to figure that out for the past 40 years. Imagine.... Aliens. Makes perfect since!

You may know this, but I thought I read somewhere that currently, there is enough water underground to flood the earth if all of it were to come up.

Answers in Genesis has a model where the springs from the deep collapsed which caused the flood. Are you familiar with their model?

If it were important for us to know all the details of exactly how the flood happened then all those details would be in the Bible.

It seems to me that the absence of those technical details is a very good indication that we don't need to know. It appears to me to be a distraction from the message of the Biblical flood epic.

God is patient not wanting anyone to perish but when sin spreads to the point that the entire human race is in danger of eternal death, God puts a stop to unmitigated, spreading, sin like a surgeon would in cutting out a cancerous tumor.

That's what God did with the flood. It's what He did to the 5 cities of the plain. It's what He did to the Canaanites when He sent Israel in to destroy them. And it's what He will do again if it becomes necessary.

The entire world probably. How much attack we are under from evil spirits, technology, and who knows what else.
Technology is neutral. It is inanimate. It doesn't do anything. It's like a hammer. (Early technology)
People use technology for good (driving nails to build a house) or evil. (Smashing heads with a hammer.)
But technology is simply a tool.

I have to disagree with that, Brother.

A gun is technology, it wasn't grown ,it was designed.it can kill in the act of murder or in the act of preventing one .
No, a gun cannot kill. It is a tool which can be used by a person to kill.
But, without a person operating the tool (gun) it is an inanimate object which will do exactly nothing on its own.
As with a hammer, which will not drive a nail unless a person picks up the hammer and hits the nail with it, so any gun cannot shoot a bullet unless a person picks up the gun, loads it, chamberes a round, and then pulls the trigger.

I agree , sorry I should have added a person can use it. I know he loves guns and I wanted him to think of that when he says all tech is evil by itself.

Whether the deed is done by hitting someone in the head with a rock or by firing a Minuteman ICBM, the killing is don by one or more people.
minute man, you dated yourself. I haven't thought of that old thing in a while.

Could you give an example that shows technology to be evil?

Ok. Technology is not neutral, it's being used against God's creation to keep them dependant on the world and not looking to God. We're just so used to the technology that we don't realize that. We call them conveniences but the technology only came after the fall.

Everything the enemy does is a cheap imitation of God. We were created in God's image, in relationship with Him, not needing anything but Him. It's a good bet that man could fly before the fall, so cars and airplanes are unnecessary and a deception.

Enoch and Philip were both translated in scripture. We don't really know where Enoch was translated too, but we know Philip was translated about 28 miles away to another town after he baptized the Ethiopian. This is what a relationship with God gives us, a freedom from the world and it's technology. Now that Jesus has came and died and been resurrected we have been invited back unto the same relationship with God that we had before the fall.

Icbm's weren't needed to destroy Sodom & Gomorrah. Power tools were not needed to get peter out of jail in His jail break. Guns werent needed to protect early man.

So technology is an evil which distracts man from relationship with our Lord. When we walk with God, technology is not needed. There is a slew of testimonies on you tube of people being translated by God to different points on earth to do His will.

Technology will not be needed for those who go through the tribulation to defend themselves. Whgats it say? A thousand will will fall on your left side, ten thousand on your right, but it will not come nigh to you...?

See what I mean?
