Hi

When I try to burn a music CDRW on iTunes it makes this strange clicking sound and doesn't end up burning the DVD.
I tried using the regular drag and drop onto the DVDRW burning folder itself and it still makes this odd clicking sound.
I'm using esperanza CD and they worked fine when I first got them then all of a sudden it's doing this.
I've tried another brand of disk (tdk) and it's still making the same noise...

Any advice someone?

The clicking sound is the laser mechanism trying to move and jumping back, it could be stuck, or the unit has failed, sometimes this clears up, and sometimes it does not. Try playing a music CD in there to see if that works, if you still hear the click, and it won't even move to play music, replace it. Oh yeah, make sure there is no dust on the laser, but do not touch with finger, you can clean with rubbing alcohol and a cue tip. Because a dirty laser eye, can cause this also.

yeah, sounds like it's your cd drive in your computer. if fixing it doesn't work, just replace it. even dvd burner drives are dirt cheap now.
