Not sure if anyone here has been following this at all, but today it was announced by the owner of the San Diego Chargers that they will be moving the team to LA. Possibly, to share the new stadium that is being built in Inglewood for the Rams.
Quite honestly I find this a bad move and really just born out of greed by the owners trying to capitalize on a perceived neglected market. However, if this recently wrapped season is anything to go by, unless the Chargers suddenly become a Super Bowl contender this venture will fall as flat as the Rams' attempt. Home games at the Colosseum were poorly attended for the Rams, especially since they had such a poor season.
The Chargers should stay in San Diego where the biggest part of the their fan base is. Very poor decision by the owners, in my opinion.
