If you are interested in the truth, try a careful study of "soul" using a concordance and a reasonably accurate translation of the Bible.

Gen. 2:7 says God breathed into the nostrils of the formed body of man, and man became a living soul.

Soul was not something separate that entered man. And is not something that lives on after death. Many times in Scripture the soul is said to die or be dead: Lev. 19:28; 21:1; 24:17,18; Num.23:10; 31:19; Josh.2:13 etc.

One definition is "Soul is the consciousness, the feelings, the desires produced by the breath of life vitalizing the body." *

Synonyms for soul might be "being", or "person". We are living beings. Alive, we are animated ( from "anima" Latin for soul) beings, able to experience all around us through our senses, and experience all our inner feelings and emotions. But, when we die, the person, the soul, is said to disappear, or "go to the unseen ( hades Gk).

I don't know, maybe he's got something here. If you read dianetics you will find that L. Ron makes similar statements only not dealing with the soul so much as the mind and in particular, the subconscious. And if you have studied the life of L. Ron you will understand that he believed that he had his own personal demon that supplied him with the knowledge of his writings leading up to Scientology. This man truly believed that he had a female spirit that he could actually see, even in the presence of other people. He believed it so much that he tried to convince himself at times that the demon was only there to help him and not control him. Scary stuff.
