According to the Associated Press, the FDA finally confirmed that chickens given the drug do indeed test positive for inorganic arsenic.

After years of sweeping the issue under the rug, the FDA has now finally admitted that chicken meat sold in the USA contains arsenic, a cancer-causing toxic chemical that’s fatal in high doses. But the real story is where this arsenic comes from: It’s added to the chicken feed on purpose! As far back as 2006, the IATP’s report Playing Chicken: Avoiding Arsenic in your meat estimated that more than 70 percent of all U.S. chickens raised for meat are fed arsenic. It is added to induce faster weight gain on less feed, and creating the perceived appearance of a healthy color in meat from chickens, turkeys and hogs.

Yes, it's amazing what they feed our animals. The animals are not unhealthy to eat, per se, but it's what they expose them to.... and to hear this after everyone and their brother makes a big hoopla about mercury in fish!

And the medical establishment doesn't help either. If something is unhealthy in a chicken, they rather spread myths like the unhealthy part is the saturated fat in the chicken skin (heck the skin's the best part) but yet they let this poison (the real unhealthy part) pass by without saying anything and then we all wonder why Alzheimer’s is going thru the roof! (Aluminum adds to this as well as Arsenic).

This is about as ridiculous as worrying if a kid has training wheels on their bikes (when they can fully well ride without them) but then after putting training wheels on letting them ride in a busy street. No wonder I always mock the system(s). They have cornflakes where their brains should be.

But only with a helmet

Happy season greetings celebrating Jesus who died for us sinners...

There is a principle in Scripture regarding any food...animal or plant...

De 14:21 Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself:

Farmers do grow most healthy chickens but some also are dying and so they quickly process them for the consumer...
To keep chicken alive they feed them antibiotics, some feed them GMO corn, and GMO soybean....far worse than arsenic metal, too many consumers trust our food processing industry to be honest, non-corrupt and faithfully looking out for our health... the reality is not like that....animals with cancer in them are cut out and removed, the rest of the animal is assumed OK and good for eating....

Shalom

So the class action law suits against the culpable FDA should begin in 1, 2, 3....
Without causing cancer, the triune process falls flat. Cause cancer, doctors treat cancer, big pharma creates drugs for cancer treatment.
And yet they'll try to take herbs off the shelves for whatever reason they deem fit. :wall

Your right Tiny Kitten, there's too much money to be made in cancer treatment...easily cured if we go back to a plant based simple lifestyle...but that would be boring ...no flavour enhancers, no colours and no processed extra taste enhancers...why natural food hasn't got a chance....the dangers of genetically modified food is the real killer of us all these days....

Shalom and happy Season Greetings.

do you have evidence that its easily cured? I know that when my grandparents were alive at the turn of the century they never said that stuff. large familes were there because half the kids died before three.

on my irish side. 9 born, 6 lived. on my jewish side 6 born. Idk if they had brothers or sister that died. cancer and other diseases were around then. and my jewish side were kosher. hardly an unhealthy diet.

Thank you. And the same to you and yours.

We should be wary of our beloved pork chops too.

I agree that our food was better for us without all the chemical additives. My two uncles who were born and lived their whole lives on a farm where they grew and ate their own vegetables knew how to do that, and their food sure didn't need any enhancements to make it look or taste good, even to someone like me who's always lived on the typical American diet. They both died int heir 80's and had very few sicknesses and never any major sicknesses in their lives.

But I wonder about two things. First, when has the world in general ever lived on a "plant based diet" at any time since perhaps before Noah's flood? To my knowledge we've always been omnivores. And also, the worlds current population is over 7 times what it was even as recent as the 1700s, currently 7 billion compared to less than 1 billion 1n 1700 and estimated around 200 million at the time of Christ. This means people need a lot more land space to live on leaving much less space for growing plants but yet need to feed many times times the population of previous centuries when food used to be produced more naturally. How would that be done today without these chemicals and advanced methods for growing food quicker in less space?

I agree completely with the concept that our food should be healthier, and that these modern methods are preventing that. But it seems to me the alternative for today would create widespread famine, which is even more unhealthy. Somewhere I read an article penned by an environmental group that concluded for the human population of the earth to go back to a sustainable way of living naturally off of the land, the birth rate has to be lowered to zero AND approximately 2/3 of our current population must die. I've never really heard any practical or acceptable solutions to the problem.

I should post pics of groves in the fourties that I know where they are then and what they are now. two homes that were simple pineapple farmsteads stand to the entrance of westbound Oslo rd that were built in the early 1900's. other areas later that were cattle and groves, I grew up on milk from such a farm that is now gone save the shell of it that was called tripson dairy, that home and diary was one one my routes and was bought out by velde farms then closed as velde moved that production to another area.

i think maybe we should just focus on less noxious chemicals to help farmers. I'm with Obadiah; we need a little "better living through chemistry" if we're going to feed everybody.

if only a family friend was on this forum. this is his area of expertise in agriculture. he specialized in citrus and also was into home grown honey and natural stuff. both him and his ex did that. I remember with him natural bee honey as he did that on the side and milked them at home or in the groves on the side which was and is still common here. bees are good for citrus.

Well, if we stopped treating people for disease, stopped all the drugs, stopped keeping people alive with feeding tubes, incubators, etc. the population would decrease pretty quickly.

It would, that's true. Thinking of the plagues of a few centuries ago as an example. Didn't I hear something like 1/3 of the total population of Europe was wiped out by that. I just don't think many people would want to return to that, at least not many of those who suspected they would be among the casualties.

we tend to think that back then men were healthy, when they weren't. people died from malaria, in the 60's and before pneumonia had no cure.
