Today i saw the new movie with that one guy from Fast and Furious. It was basically about a guy who was responsible for disposing of a hot gun has the gun stolen by his next door neighbor. Its complicated to explain, so just go see it, otherwise, this post probably wont make much sense.
In the movie there was a scene where a husband and wife kidnapped 3 children and attempted to film them in a child pornography video. The supporting actress comes in and shoots them before anything bad could happen, but it leads me to a question.
Why would Evil seek to destroy Children?
As most of my 3 readers know, I belive that there is a center, conscious mind in charge of all the evil in the world. With that belief in hand, I am going to think out loud to try and understand why Evil would want to destroy children.
Children are the representation of innocence and opportunity in the world. Whenever a sappy Christian commercial comes on TV they usually flash images of happy and sad children to evoke emotion from the viewer. This is usually an add to sponsor a child so that the child will not be hungry in days to come. Also, what is more refreshing than hearing several children laugh?
If children represent Innocence and purity in all of society, then that would provide an good guess as to the intent of destroying them. If you lower the age of innocence and eventually remove it, there would be no other examples of it in the world.
Saint Mark the Apostle tells us an account of Christ when He is around small children.
"13People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." 16And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them."
If Evil destroyers the image that Christ is using to convey his meaning, then the entire passage would become worthless to us as a species. Say for instance, 30 years from now, all innocence in children is gone at age 2 because of legal child pornography and what not. How are the adults of that era, and the children subjected to this torment supposed to understand what Christ was saying?
By this logic, children should be valued higher than Gold and Silver. They should be put above your life and your family's simply because of their meaning to the entire world.
