I thought that this study on Christ in the Old Testament may be of interest - Gary.

Many of the most picturesque images of Jesus Christ are those found – sometimes seemingly buried – in the Old Testament. Jesus emphasised this point with two of His disciples as they walked together on the road to Emmaus: “Beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.†(Luke 24:27).

Using this teaching model of Jesus Himself, Charles Spurgeon, the “prince of preachers,†here offers 60 studies revealing Jesus Christ in the teachings, testimonies, and types of the old Testament. These are organised into three groups: the historical group, in which Christ is compared to key historical figures of the Old Testament; the ceremonial group, in which Christ is proven to be the fulfilment of Old Testament ceremonies and rituals; and the prophetical group, in which Christ is magnified as the promised Messiah.

Thanks Gary...an interesting study.

Though this may not be exactly in line with what Spurgeon was teaching, I think it somehow fits...

Dan 3:24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
Dan 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Another reference of Christ as Redeemer in the OT? Could very well be. :-? :D

How much ETERNITY does Rev. 14:6's EVERLASTING GOSPEL & Heb. 13:20's EVERLASTING COVENANT take in?? :fadein:

"For by Him were [ALL THINGS] created, that are in [heaven], and are in earth, visible and [invisible], wheather they are [thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or POWERS]: [ALL THINGS WERE *CREATED BY HIM], and for Him: and [HE IS BEFORE ALL THINGS, AND ALL THINGS CONSIST]." Col. 1:16-17 (with my added emphasis & remember the plural of world's' in Heb. is twice stated)

And we never hear a thing obout 'perfectly' created Adam & Eve being tested & for what reason, huh?
