I am actually not a supporter of what I am going to say, but I have a strong feeling within my heart that God can still save every single human who had ever gone to hell. The reason why I say this is because ...
  • Jesus Christ now hold the keys of death and hades (Rev 1:18).
  • Jesus Christ gives life to whom He will (John 5:21)
It doesn't end here...
We all know how Christ pleaded with Father in Matt 26:39 if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. We not only have a God, but a 'Man' who knows exactly the fear of pain and suffering of death.

If Hitler would have truly known that there is a true God and he is accountable to Him for every action, I assume he would have been a completely different person. Punishing a person for eternity for something he has done for a short time span of 70 years - I believe God will be merciful.

If Jesus Christ is to forgive everyone who is extremely bad in hell, I believe no one can question Him nor can that act be considered against the will of the Father.

John 6:39-40 "This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day."

So, what did the Father gave the Son?

John 3:35-36 "The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

If Father had given all things into the hands of the Son, then Son will lose nothing. This includes even Judas.

Let me know your views.... :chin

I believe people are who they are because of choices they make. Are you saying that Hitler had never heard of God therefore he couldn't make a choice whom to serve?

How do you know Jesus Christ is going to forgive everyone who is in hell? The only way a person can be forgiven is to repent and ask forgiveness. And I think that ought to be done while you are still alive!

Very simply put: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

John 3:35 Look at the following verse 36 - He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Hi Felix and welcome!

Please know that I appreciate your tender heart. I recently lost a brother who didn't accept Christ, nor his ways. At his funeral, the only thing I could pray to God was to ask for mercy on my brothers soul. I loved my brother, but he rejected the way of Christ. Prior to his death he said that he knew his current path was either going to land him in prison, or dead. He understood clearly the road he was going down, and he refused to alter his course. Still, out of compassion and love for my brother I continue to pray that God have mercy on his soul.

Scripture has a theme, and one of it's theme's is good verses wickedness. Good wins and the wicked get their just reward, both in this world, and the world to come. In Exodus, the Israelites cry out to God in their oppression, and God saves them, and later, when Isreal breaks covenant and are punished, they cry out, and God saves them. So I see this idea where we are allowed to suffer until we realize our wrongs, and with repentant hearts, we cry out... because God always hears the cries of his children.

But sadly, there are those who are not God's children. No, they are stiff necked and refuse to cry out even when they are heading toward death. The see the road they are going down, and they refuse to repent. It's sad, but it's true and unfortunatly, a lot of innocent people are affected by their actions. Much un needed and unwanted suffering occurs due to these types of people.

I am reminded of these two passages.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no way enter into it anything that defiles, neither whatsoever works abomination, or makes a lie: but they who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

I tend to agree, felix, hell is not forever for anyone who goes there. God is "an all-consuming fire" - & indeed there must be condemnation for those like Stalin or Hitler, who were truly evil.
Jesus said in John 5 about the resurrection of the dead - that those who had done good -raised to eternal life. Those who did evil- would be eternally condemned.

Now, the words "eternally condemned" I think applies to the act of doing evil - but not to the sentence of the person.
I do not believe God would unfairly torture or punish even an evil life forever - a life that had been evil for only say, a 75 year lifetime.

I choose to believe God is fair in His judgments.

Just my 2-cent.:-)

As yet, no one has gone to hell as we think of hell. That awaits the judgment. The hell of the KJV in Lk.16 is actually hades the state of the departed spirits awaiting judgment. They were told to "hear" Moses and the prophets. In other words, setting emotions aside, what the Bible says is final!

I'm not singling you out specifically, Lehigh3 but I will use your statement as an example if you don't mind.

Define "fair". The statement above and others like it sound to me like lowering the Supreme, Almighty, Wonderful God down to our level and defining "fair" based on our understanding and not God's. If we want to talk fair, in my opinion, none of us has hope for we are all sinners.

We are already condemned to death because of our sin. The only way we can enter into God's kingdom is if we can somehow be justified before Him. An atonement must be paid in blood.

Jesus Christ was the perfect sacrificial Lamb of God and He paid the ransom on our behalf so that God can have justice served. Through Jesus Christ and through Him alone can we be made acceptable and righteous before God.

My own understanding of the situation is that Hell is the default destination for human beings. We're born wicked and we grow ever more wicked as we live in a Fallen World. Only God can save us, through His son, Christ. The Christian walk guides us away from destruction and (spiritual) death in this world and leads to life everlasting. All other paths tend to lead to suffering, misery, and despair on Earth and damnation in the afterlife.

As much as I'd like to believe that God saves people in Hell or spares us eternal torment, the Bible seems pretty clear that you enter Heaven or you get sent to Hell. Both are permanent, both are eternal.
